Sir Elton John is "fed up" with being a treated like a "second-class citizen" in the U.S.

That's why the 63-year-old gay singer said he took a stand last week during a performance at a private Beverly Hills fundraiser for the ongoing legal challenge to California's gay marriage ban...

I'm so tired of hearing about this over-the-hill joke. His homosexual nature is the only thing he talks about today. He hasn't produced any music of quality in at least 30 years. Why do some people even care about this clown.

It's pretty pathetic for the UK when guys like Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, and Elton John have been knighted. It use to be that you had to do something heroic to have that title. Now I do like the music that McCartney, Jagger, and even John created. But it seems to me that creating R&R isn't an endeavor that would get you knighted. The Brits can do what they want, but I think it's pathetic.

It’s a fundraiser to overturn Prop 8 so of course he is playing to the crowd.

What’s he supposed to say?

“Don’t let your son go down on me”????

He is NOT a citizen of the US. He is a subject of the United Kingdom. Go bitch about your treatment in your home country.

Didn’t Rush Limbaugh state that Elton John said he wasn’t interested in the ‘gay marriage’ issue? (I may be mistaken)

That was probably before Elton found a child to make into a pervert. After all he would not want his child to think he had sex before marriage. LOL

I think the gay lifestyle is wrong. It is a choice, unlike one’s orientation. Others may disagree. My problem with stances like Elton John has taken is the assumption that those who disagree hate him (although I am sure some do). Most of us just think it is wrong to change the definition of marriage from one man/one woman for life to any other combination. We don’t want the law changed. Many of us would not object to some form of civil recognition of the relationship because we believe in freedom to do things even though we may think they are wrong. But that is not enough for John. He does not equality, he wants equivalency. He is not entitled to that. Gay marriage is not marriage. Stating that fact is not hateful, it is just the truth.

Elton John’s self-image is his own problem...not society’s.

They all want their behavior sanctified by the most basic code known to man, the religious code. Pretty much no religion sanctifies the marriage of two from the same sex. This is the goal. I say sorry but if we all chose your path where would the woman and child go for care and protection and yes those are still needed roles to fill. So it’s a matter of paying some price for turning your back on a basic social responsibility.

I was chatting with a very nice gay fellow the other day and it finally came around to gay marriage. They really want it. I said that’s we part. The lunch time conversation pretty wrapped up on that note. I’m not sorry to say there’s a price to pay for being socially irresponsible.

The outspoken British piano man, who became a parent to a baby boy on Christmas Day with partner David Furnish, added that “as I get older, I get more angry about it.”

“In this country, we need more dialogue,” he said during an interview Friday. “We don’t need any more stone throwing. We don’t need any more vitriol.

’ I’m sick and tired of people being hateful to each other in this country’

in 2008 when he said he had no desire to get married and was satisfied with his civil partnership in England. He sang a different tune Wednesday when he praised the effort to overturn Proposition 8 and promised to do everything he could to support it, even though he is British.

Is Elton John a US citizen?
When was Elton John granted US citizenship?

That’s where we part, it should have read. Yes I had the guts to make my stand. Not an easy thing to do anymore, as it’s almost cause to be assaulted.

The young generations are very militant on the subject and it’s because of the social programming going on in public schools and the systematic attempts to keep kids from attaining critical thinking skills.

Now we are seeing the seeds planted by the equally militant education system taking root. The society is on an irretrievably social left bent in the short term. It’s going to take a real crisis to change the course.

He should try Saudi Arabia instead of the USA. Then he will know what “second class citizen” really means.
