Back on October 25, 2008, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons published an article on Obama's use of neurolinguistic programming in his speeches entitled "Oratoryor hypnotic induction?" I thought it worth mentioning to you guys that I discovered today that the article in question had been scrubbed from AAPS archives. The title is still listed in the AAPS archives, but the article itself is gone.
An article entitled "An Examination of Obamas Use of Hidden Hypnosis Techniques in His Speeches" is quite similar to the one in question and as of this writing has not yet been scrubbed from the internet. Anyone interested in this subject should make a personal copy.
Whether or not a person puts stock in such thinking, I thought it worth mentioning that Obama or one of his minions apparently believed the article sufficiently damaging that it took steps to deprive the public from considering the analysis presented.
I have noticed that. What do you make of it (I thought initially it might be some Hahhhvahd affectation, but folks keep mentioning that it has some other significance)?
Basically, the government owns the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons now. Saying nasty things about your owner is bad for business.
so what does this say about his speechwriters?
Ever tried the Way Back Machine for restoring no longer existing webpages, etc.???
http://www.archive.org/web/web.php
All ya need is the old URL...provided they have archived that url to begin with,,,
A long time ago I called out his use of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), almost textbook case and his speechwriter, Lakoff, taught it . It is something I study and use in my job and recognize it immediately.
Even I, a no nothing Granny could tell what he was doing.
That part was transparent.
Told you I was a ‘know nothing. grrr
AAPS is a conservative group. Ron Paul used to be a member, might still be. And IIRC the AAPS file a suit last year to invalidate Obamacare.
ping of interest
There is a thing about NLP techniques is that one has to have a belief in the speaker before you can really be influenced. If you are a core skeptic, you don’t allow a mindless listening, so instead, you are more critical to see patterns instead of being influenced by them.
IE, Good for you.
Explains a lot!
We're sorry, access to http://www.aapsonline.org/newsoftheday/0089 has been blocked by the site owner via robots.txt.
They can file lawsuits until the sun burns out. The government owns them lock stock and barrel.
even cached articles in the Way Back Machine can be locked...
What it is is annoying. I can hardly ssssstand to listen to him because of it. Perhaps bad dental work?
Just emulating his serpent master...
Yeh, I have gotten that too...still...I have continued to restore many of my old webpages with Wayback Machine....websites continue to go bellyup for various reasons...
gonna get worse wot with the “authorities” and their craze to shet us all tfup...
So, what fraction of the populace is susceptible to this technique?
How does the government own them...I thought it was just an association of doc’s?
all of us...the merchants have used it fer years...called advertisn’
i rate merchants i click above or below politicians all of whom are rated as...scum...
Everyone is to a point because it is just innate human nature- nothing magical. It would be easier to quantitative those who aren't affected by it, who go into a situation where they are skeptical and analytical from the start.
ObamaCare.
From the beginning, in the 2008 election campaign, and ever since, I never could make it past the opening minute or two of ANY of his speeches - it was a non-rational sense I have. Now I know why.
all of us...the merchants have used it fer years...called advertisn’
i rate merchants i click above or below politicians all of whom are rated as...scum...
Also, the Wayback machine is blocked from acess to the original paper.
Wasn’t something like this what Jared Loughner meant in his ramblings about “grammar”?
That is just scary as h$ll!
keep trying the WB Machine...remember, they are evil...but they’re also ph*****up!
Gotcha!
Back in ‘08 sometime I listened to the bastard for the first and last time (not counting where TV and Radio jips him faster than I cab switch off for two years now)
And I actually was jealous of his ability to cobra-sway anybody he spoke to. Jealous in that we didn’t have anybody on our side that could mesmerize.
Sarah is a more natural mesmerizer. But with natural truth and decency. Note how the left can’t resist her, even though their paychecks depend on them doing so.
HarpO already owns the O. Zer0's l0g0 always reminds me of a zer0.
It could be any single item, a letter, a symbol, whatever. It is nature to unite behind your team’s flag. The simpler the flag the better.
‘Cause it's not the substance.
In the case of Obama's cult following, the proof is in the pudding (i.e. there is a huge brain-dead group of Kool-Ade drinkers at each of his rallies). You can look at their faces and see that they have been hypnotize...they are mesmerized. Very similar to the faces in the crowd at a Hitler rally.
Well, ahh, if you, ahh, post it, uhhhh, here, it ummm, won’t ahhhh be be be ummmm SCRUBBED!
Zero was post-American from the age of probably 17.
And he made no secret of it, in fact celebrated it.
Half of America is Post-America.
It varies. At any given time, it's exactly the percentage of the population that "Approves" or "Strongly Approves" of Obama.

Yep, I think that describes me.
“What it is is annoying. I can hardly ssssstand to listen to him because of it. Perhaps bad dental work?”
It always strikes me as the stereotypical homosexual lisp.
The techniques O’Bummer used are very typical of what he observed every time he went to church with Rev. Wright.
The techniques are the same utilized by stage hypnotists to manipulate individuals and entire audiences, They are also used in various religious settings such as revival meetings and the charismatic movement. I have visited these churches and observed the techniques in action. They induce a trance where the individual loses their ability to discern truth from non truth.
The techniques are simple.
Step one, allow the volume of your voice to go up and down. Shout and then whisper.
Step two, create an imbalance in the person's emotions. Tell a very sad story and then a happy one. This is to destabilize the person. Music serves to amplify this step.
Step three, increase the emotional destabilization by introducing extreme anger, fear, or guilt. This is why O’Bummer demonized Bush so often.
Step four, offer a way to help the person get rid of their extreme emotion. The individual will experience a profound physiological and psychological experience and in religious settings, will claim to be born again. It is a false experience as the individual surrenders their will to another person and not to a higher power.
Hitler used the same oratory hypnotic techniques.
Do you think that mass hypnosis has the same effect as cult induction (i.e. are the subjects instructed to unconsciously avoid thinking, reality, self-analysis, idol criticism, etc).
Who other than Loughner would know what he meant ... the guy is quite disturbed.
I think too many people have a pop-culture image of this where they think it is like Kreskin where it is on or off.. it is simply suggestion like marketing. The only way one can be ‘turned off’ would be to educate one to be aware of the uses- but even then, they are susceptible at that point (even to a higher degree) to those who claim they ‘reveal’ answers that the ‘sheep’ believe.
