Fox News joins MSM in ignoring March for Life [vanity]

Posted on 01/24/2011 1:34:00 PM PST by Paul Kib

Fox News has joined the MSM today in ignoring the March for Life. I checked the websites of Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, Daily Caller, and Big Government. Nothing on their home pages about the March for Life, which, by some estimates, attracted some two million people, many of them young people, from around the country.

FAIL.

And people think I’m nuts when I say Fox news is liberal too, just not as liberal as most of the others.

No, you are nuts....you are accurate. Real Conservatives know that Fox News is not conservative.

FNC supports Illegal Alien amnesty....supports Obama on the Birther issue...and pushes the Liberal Globalist agenda.

Rupert Murdoch is heavily invested in Communist China...and is current wife is Communist Chinese. Murdhoch’s son, James, who is slated to take over NewsCorp (Parent company)...is a total liberal who is buddies with Al Gore.

It’s on the list with the Birth Certificate issue.

OH Bullsquat!

I have seen three pieces on Fox News, one included quotes from at least three politicians.

For you, and the many others who whine when Fox does not cover your favorite subject 24/7, just the way you would like it slanted, you are getting to be tedious.

Start your own damned network, with any slant on any subject, and the weight of dozens of FReepers will bury you as an infidel leftist secret buttboy of Obama and his ilk.

I had a similar experience years ago at a Right to Life convention. It wasn't that people were unkind, but they did tend to stick with their groups, which were mostly Catholic church, parish-based.

It later occurred to me that as a stranger and a lone participant, I might have been perceived as a potential spy or mole from the pro-abort side. Or a non-sympathetic journalist looking for material to use in a mocking hit-piece.

I’ve wondered about that, too. I just can’t come to terms with it. These people were from out of town and true believers. We were waiting for Bob Dornan to speak and later walking in the parade to the Supreme Court. Something was wrong.

And it's going to remain "not news" till the good-hearted chumps that are the pro-life demonstrators take a page from the MLK playbook, making it a matter of massive non-violent civil disobedience.

1988 - in MLK's town - Atlanta. I heard Charles Stanley tell his church to have nothing to do with Operation Rescue, even has hundreds were doing non violent civil disobedience. I believe Falwell and/or Dobson said that they planned to be arrested. Didn't happen.

Maybe one Catholic Bishop and one Catholic priest did go to jail. But, mostly, the Christian "leaders" lost their nerve.

Then the 'borts played hardball - RICO staute invoked and folks got ruined. A shameful chapter, when courageous response from leaders just might have turned the tide.

What are you talking about?I’ve seen several reports during the day starting at about 12 noon from the rally on Foxnews.

Well I didn't take it personally. I think it's just human nature to be insular and wary of 'outsiders' at first. Even if a newcomer appears like-minded, it can take time for people to feel they know that person well enough to risk extending themselves.

Next time I'll go with family members. Or join a group that pickets abortion mills, get to know them better and go with them to pro-life events.

Yeah, it wasn’t personal. Just surprising.

It’s “not exactly news” when hundreds of thousands of people sacrifice their time and comfort to gather together in memory of those who’ve been killed through abortion and in solidarity on behalf of life?

I’d argue that this is without a doubt “news.” It may be predictable, like a Presidential inauguration is predictable, but is should be reported and discussed on a national level.

It’s nice Fox News finally caught up, but as of 5:00 p.m. when I posted this, they still had nothing on their website about what was arguably, the biggest story of the day. Certainly this was more important than Oprah’s long lost sister.
