"The Republican elites are hell bent on flipping the finger to conservatives"

Which is why no national "Republican" organization has gotten a dime from me for the past 5 years. The NRC/NRSC and NRCC finally stopped calling and sending me junk mail this past year.

Cantor is going to sit in Newt’s lap?

Were I he, I would eat about a dozen boiled eggs and a couple of six packs of beer about four hours before the event. That would be sufficient time for the mixture to enter the lower digestive tract and begin fermenting.

Same with me, I give to individual candidates, no more letting Rinos decide where my money goes.

This stupid namby pamby crap about sitting next to the enemy at the State of the Union Show makes me want to puke. I wouldn’t sit next to Pelosi! Certainly not next to Bawney Fag - God knows what diseases the man carries. I dont want our guys to hold hands with the enemy and sing Kumbaya as some stupid knee jerk reaction to the liberal murdered in Tucson. We dont need civility - we need fighters!

Less government. Lower taxes. Cut spending. More freedom. Its simple!

Barney Frank and Lindsey Graham????

Lindsey Graham will probably have to wait for Mikulski to ask her to the soiree.

Frank might find Lisa Murkowski to be the man for her.

Great move Cantor! Snuggling up to Pelosi did wonders for Newt’s career!

The ruling elite are all the same with few exceptions.

You don’t get it do you? Canter has been one of the few to turn this Dim scheme around on them. Pelosi does not want to be caught dead sitting next to Canter. But he is her equal in leadership rank [though she considers herself equal in leadership rank to the Speaker]and Canter has put her on a civility spot. You should be cheering Canter on for this.

Bravo! Finally someone with enough sense to understand what is happening. Thank you. I long for the old FR that had members that understood politics.

Nazi Pelosi is squirming trying to decide what to do. Sit with Cantor after he nailed her this week plus the added dilemma of not being on the same footing as the Speaker? Cantor beating her at her own game? The horrors!

“Sit with Cantor after he nailed her this week ...”

Very poor choice of words.

Yeah I’m kind of starting to feel that way myself. Liberals aren’t any happier about it than we are and its really just a distraction.

That’s the first thing I thought of. Then, I started laughing. Cantor just shoved civility right up Nancy Pelosi’s....um....whatever. She’s looses either way she goes. Too funny!

The Dems are correct..they have nothing to fear.

They spent two years stealing your family’s earnings and private healthcare for generations.

They spent two years running the debt up to 14 Trillion.

They just had the most productive lame-duck in history..AFTER Americans told them NO in November.

They just successfully smeared the entire Rightwing with a murder charge...and received high poll numbers for their efforts.

ALL WITHOUT A PEEP FROM REPUBLICANS (who btw, told us after losing the Congress in 06, that they would pass nothing in their lame-duck...because...wait for it...because they “were just human, and very tired”. A Mike Pence quote)

So, tell me again about playing from a strong base? Repubs have spent the last 2 wks distancing themselves from the Tea Party, and slobbering over Obama!

And the GOP just agreed with the Dems/MSM that Republicans have a “civility” problem, which caused a mass shooting, so they will sit with their political rivals to make amends.

I don’t see strength anywhere.

There are two issues at stake here. First, the optics of everyone intermingled masks the Rep majority gained in an historic election. When Obama gives a Dem applause line, it will appear that he has widespread support. This is actually the tactic of the Communist diamond formation on how to take over meetings. You position your supporters at the front, sides, and rear with some in the middle. When you applaud or protest what a speaker says, it affects everyone in the audience causing some of the unaffiliated to join in just out of herd instinct.

I can imagine the cameras focusing on Pelosi rising to her feet along with all of the other Dems and Cantor remaining seated in a seeming fit petulance or failure to be civil and respectful of the Annointed One. And since it is disrespectful to show any displeasure with Obama, Cantor will have to either sit still or applaud depending on what the Maximum Leader states.

And far more insidious is the unspoken assumption that the political rhetoric and lack of civility are related to the shooting of Giffords. Obama will use the sympathy of the shooting supported by some of the victims and the families in the audience to call for a toning down of the rhetoric and the need to work together for America. And Pelosi and Cantor will stand side by side applauding wildly and cheering the need for more civility.

Only the Stupid Party would have ever agreed to this Dem initiative. They look like losers despite the fact that they won.

See my post #35. Cantor is an idiot and shouldn’t be in a leadership position. The Reps are pissing off their supporters and it will backfire. If they don’t develop a spine, they will become a third party.

I F’ing hate this...

There is simply NO F’ing reason to even pretend to be civil with these socialist bastards.

I swear to god that the day we remove the last F’ing POS RINO from the GOP will be the day that victory over the socialists and marxists in this country will be all but won.

Honestly, we just need to keep pushing from the states. As we purge the state GOP organizations of socialist RINOs we will put increasing pressure on the national organization until we get to the point that we can kick the last POS out. At that point, our infrastructure will be solid enough to take the fight to the next level.
