A man who was pulled over in Queens during a routine traffic stop was arrested after cops found bomb-making materials in his car, authorities said.
The driver, who has not been identified, was pulled over in Jamaica at about 2 p.m. after a cop spotted him illegally crossing a lane, sources told The Post.
The officer arrested the driver, who is in his 30s, after spotting a car battery, fertilizer and glass jars with aluminum shavings inside -- materials commonly used to make bombs.

Have the Amish all been accounted for?
The driver, who has not been identified?.....
That tells you for sure it was Abdul!
Where would Amish get aluminum shavings, and why would one be driving a car?
I think we must look beyond Lancaster County residents...
Eric Holder will put a stop to this abuse immediately!
I’ll bet it was his Palin 2012 bumper sticker and his Jesus fish that tipped them off. /sarc
Ya think? LOL!
“was pulled over in Queens”
“was pulled over in Jamaica”
So where was he pulled over and in what country?
I wonder ... in QUEENS ... is he a Moslem?
QUEENS is infested with them.
When a cop can arrest you for having items “commonly used for bomb making”, how long before you can be rounded up as one of the “usual suspects”? Where should the line be drawn?
His radio was tuned to the Rush Limbaugh show, no doubt.
50-50 odds his name is Mohammed or some derivative thereof.
Yeah, the media silence on the ID tells you that, or he was a democrat, or both.
Jamaica, Queens, NY, USA
Jamaica Queens New York
Jamaica is in the borough of Queens
“When a cop can arrest you for having items commonly used for bomb making
Let’s say I get pulled over for a rolling stop at a stop sign. Cop sees suspicious stuff. I have some reasonable explanation, I’m driving over to my amateur rocket club, we’re doing a launch today, here is the flyer. Cop says, have a blast.
Or I say, um, what stuff? Oh that, I um was going to see if I can use the fertilizer to melt ice on sidewalks, and the aluminum does not belong to me, I don’t know where it came from. Cop busts me, saying there ain’t gonna be a lot of ice in El Segundo, now is there? You can explain all this down at the station after you’re printed.
“Have the Amish all been accounted for?”
Don’t jump to conclusions and blame the Amish. The Amish are easily confused with the Mennonites.
Since his full name probably has about a dozen subsets, the odds go up considerably....
“Grace Episcopal Church Complex”
Now what can the Episcopalian be upset about?
The Muppet Movie.
Another Amish farmer just looking to plant some crops. Why do New Yorks finest keep picking on the Amish?
Go to the drugstore and pick hydrogen peroxide and nail polish remover at the same time, and you’ll be guilty too!
Or striking matches. Cut off the heads and stuff them together in a pipe. Very dangerous to do but it makes a potent anti-personnel bomb as some childhood friends discovered to their regret.
Or urea pellets and motor oil.
What ISN’T a bomb making ingredient? FLOUR can be used to make a fuel-air bomb.
Jamaica is the name of a neighborhood in the borough of Queens in New York City. As is Jamaica Estates.
“Have the Amish all been accounted for?”
He was driving a car, must be a Mennonite or possible a Quaker.
A battery in a car. Imagine that.
I use to use match heads and copper pipe as bottle rockets when I was a kid.
3 safe bets from this Islamaphobe:
first, middle or last name, will be..... Moooo-ham-id!
Considering it was Jamaica, my money is on Mohammed Jackson.
More likely named Abdulla Mohammed Jackson.
IIRC, “bomb making materials” is how the FBI describes the contents of a kitchen tool drawer.
Holy Koran Batman! I wonder why Chief O'Hara wouldn't release the perp's name?
They used iron pipe and the self-striking matches and idiotically tried to hammer in an end plug. The three of them survived, but not with all their body parts.
