They are doing the Lord's work, and I praise them for it. Everyone dies at some point. It is not stupid to die for a cause that you believe in. I have a good friend who is doing missionary work in the “Stans” those mostly Muslim countries that used to be part of the Soviet Union. He does it with his wife and a couple of babies. I am amazed at the stories that he tells.... I do not consider him a fool, but he is a true believer.
I know what a martyr is.
I don’t know what part of TX Pharr is in, but I was in El Paso yesterday and the man that I was due to meet was late - he said his church takes clothing, food, etc. to poor communities in Mexico and someone killed a member of his church group. This is I believe, a predominantly Korean church located in El Paso somewhere. Needless to say he was devastated. The killing was in Meexico, of course. Not sure if it happened yesterday or the day or 2 previous.
Sad world when you cannot help people that need it without risking your life.
Thank you for the ping SwinneySwitch.
Condolences and prayers for the family.
Thank you, marktwain. I know just what you mean.
“And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.” Mat 24:12
this good lady had been working as a missionary in Mexico for over 30 years.
Hard to believe those scum that killed her and wounded her husband are so hard hearted.
