Maybe you can clear up for me which countries that little weasel Pollard was a “spy” for - - was it Israel, Pakistan, South Africa, Australia, or some other nation Pollard SOLD or tried to SELL classified US secrets to?
Pollard, born and raised in the United States, was a “spy”... LMAO!!
Are you a moron, or do you just play one on Free Republic?
And you never answered the question - - why all your interest in Pollard?
After all, it was you who posted this thread and you who apparently wants the traitor released.
First, name calling is not a substitute for a factual, cogent argument.
Second, Pollard spied for one country only, gave info to one country only - Israel. He was never even charged with anything else. Of course you can read all sorts of stuff. The question is one of credibility.
Third, I did answer your question but I will try again. My interest in Pollard is that I believe he is being treated differently than other spies who were traitors and caused substantial lethal damage to the US.
Pollard spied for a friendly country and according to many people I consider patriots, like George Schultz, did no harm to the US.
Pollard was guilty and deserved punishment. The question here is how much. Caspar Weinberger, who hated Israel, reneged on the deal Pollard made. Ron Olive, the source of the Pakistan and Australia BS, came out with that tidbit years later in a book he was trying to sell. Credible? Not to me. Where the injustice involves a high US government official with anti-Israel bias, I am especially interested.
Why don’t you just come out and say what is on your mind, ask the question you really want to ask -. where are my loyalties?
We are finished. I answered your question twice.
A campaign for clemency by convicted spy Jonathan Jay Pollard, an American who admitted passing intelligence secrets to Israel, has taken a sudden turn with a charge by Defense Secretary Les Aspin that Pollard tried 14 times to disclose classified information from prison.
Aspin's allegations came in a confidential letter to President Clinton, who must soon decide on a Justice Department recommendation of clemency for the convicted spy.
Washington Post - December 29, 1993
What advantage does Obama and the US gain by freeing Pollard - strategically, politically, domestically - he’ll take a LOT of flak for doing so, why would he create a new kerfuffle for himself. Perhaps in exchange for a peace deal by Bibi.....
Seems kinda trivial to obsess about Pollie baby while the Muddled East is on fire.
In so doing, he both damaged and destroyed policies and national assets which have taken many years, great effort and enormous national resources to secure. Moreover, in light of the defendants continued disclosures of sensitive information for publication by the press, there is ample cause to believe that Pollard will continue to divulge classified national defense information without restraint.
Sorry about the name-calling. I am trying to learn to be civil, because, you know, that's what the scumbag Democrat newsrooms demand whenever the Republicans win an election.
Second, Pollard spied for one country only, gave info to one country only - Israel. Ron Olive, the source of the Pakistan and Australia BS, came out with that tidbit years later in a book he was trying to sell. Credible? Not to me.
Yeah, who you gonna believe - - the original NCIS investigator, Ron Olive, or the traitor, Jay Pollard? (Whew) Oh, and you forgot to mention South Africa.
Why dont you just come out and say what is on your mind, ask the question you really want to ask -. where are my loyalties?
I don't need to ask, do I?
Now we're finished.
