Taking her Let's Move! initiative on the road to Fort Jackson, S.C., Michelle Obama tied together her two favorite causes: childhood obesity and military families.
Childhood obesity is "not just a health issue for children, it's a national security issue," Obama said while visiting the Army's largest basic training facility. "You have to get the whole country behind this because it's affecting our ability to protect our freedom."
In a briefing at Fort Jackson, Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling, the Army's initial training deputy commander said attracting recruits who can meet physical fitness requirements is becoming more difficult

Michelle Obama: Obesity affects National Security Thus nationalized health care should not be covered by any phony budget freeze Obama proposed during the state of the union speech.

If Moochelle Obama is so worried about obesity, why doesn’t she start with her own massive fat ass? You could hang a billboard on it.

“....it’s a national security issue.”
I consider this current administration a national security issue.
MO is nothing more than a walking example of the hypocrisy that oozes out of the White House daily. Obama isn’t the only narcissist in the WH.

There's no easy way around what you describe. Nurses certainly don't have the time or probably the right to inspect the "care" packages visiting relatives bring in. But a thought occurred to me, maybe say to the patient something along the lines of "Do you have a life insurance policy? I wonder, aren't those nice relatives bringing you your treats the beneficiaries? I mean, sweetheart, it's the perfect crime!"

Perhaps Michelle needs to look more closely at what groups have the worst eating habits rather than force everyone in the country to eat celery for breakfast. Minorities particularly African Americans living in the inner cities and Native Americans living on reservations have been documented to have many health problems especially diabetes and hypertension that can be attributed largely to poor eating habits and lack of exercise.. Note that in both cases these populations are virtually or literally wards of the government have ready access to food stamps and a host of other government health care and social welfare programs. Apparently these government programs have utterly failed when it comes to getting the recipients to eat right.
