WASHINGTON (AP) -- The filibuster lives on. The Senate voted overwhelmingly late Thursday to reject efforts to change its rules to restrict the blockades that have sewn gridlock and discord in recent years on Capitol Hill.

T’Would appear the truth is that a supermajority of the Senate.. and indeed a Supermajority of democrat Senators ... they do not consider Republican use of the ‘Buster as abusive.
In short they, by their vote, decree that the R’s are not the party of “NO”.
The filibuster sword cuts both ways; neither side wants to give it up.
gridlock the whole place for TWO YEARS
Don’t let Obozo do ONE MORE THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jim DeMint was gong to prevent radical appointments.

Murkowski Announces Committee Assignments for the 112th Congress
WASHINGTON, D.C. U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, will continue to represent Alaska on the same Senate committees that she served on in the last Congress: Energy and Natural Resources; Appropriations; Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP); and Indian Affairs.
Senate Republican leadership informed caucus members today of their committee assignments for the 112th Congress.
These are four of the most critical committees in the United States Senate, particularly as their responsibilities and areas of jurisdiction affect the State of Alaska, so I was glad to keep my membership on these panels, Murkowski said.
Subcommittee assignments on the Appropriations and HELP committees, and committee and subcommittee ranking member slots, will be determined in the near future. Murkowski is the ranking Republican on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
The keyword is “Anonymously”. I have no problem with the concept of responsibility in making a hold known.
