If its not good enough for the unions, why the heck is Obamacare good enough for the rest of us?

We should pull a cloward and piven on our own and flood the system with individual waiver requests.

What we need to do is file a FOIL request for one of these waivers that was granted and then use the exact same format and justification request.

If we are denied - we sue the crap out of them.

What do you think?

This is going to end up as a massive scandal-----and all the blame will go to Obama.

Americans aren't socialists, but they are passionate egalitarians. "Special deals for special pals" is NOT going to go down without a revolt. This will get very ugly.

I Think I proposed a great plan.

Lets say we get a few hundred people to file FOIL requests for everyone who was granted a waiver and get a copy of their waiver request.

We then submit our own waiver request using the same exact application language.

If denied - we sue based upon discrimination and get to depose Sebelius in a deposition in discovery proceedings based upon the standards and docs she uses to grant or deny these requests.

BTW - I am a lawyer and think this will work great. I need to pm some of the other legal eagles on this site and maybe we can get something going.

After reading Rules for Radicals, this seems like something we can use to collapse obamacare, even if only slightly.

Just as they want exemptions from minimum wage requirements when they hire rent-a-mob protesters...

A super idea! Hundreds of thousands of waiver requests would clog the system and might even slow down HC "reform."

I can't understand why the media is so quiet about all the waivers. Yes, most are liberals, but the quality of their healthcare is at risk too and their HC premiums are going up like everyone else's. Maybe Obama granted a waiver via Executive Order to everyone in the MSM. I wouldn't put it past him.

But the unions FORCED Obamacare on the “little people” for our own good. Unions should be FORCED to suffer as well.

We need to get this to go viral. If we can get5 1,000 freepers to submit waiver requests - we can easily clog this up.

I, for one, won’t settle for anything less than the health plan used by our “public servants” in Congress...

The super-human efforts to save and rehabilitate Gabby Giffords, while commendable and uplifting, will likely cost millions. As a member of Congress with a Cadillac HC plan, I'm sure everything will be covered. Under Obamacare, if one of us got a bullet in the brain we'd probably be sent home with a bottle of pain pills. The rationale for us little people? Further treatment would be a waste of scarce healthcare dollars.

Corruption in government. The public is stuck with this stinking legislation, but friends of the White House are not.

My now secondary provider, my former employer, has already removed the limits, with the corresponding premium increase. Did anybody in their right mind think that insurers would pay for this or employers. Individuals pay, period.

"Americans aren't socialists, but they are passionate egalitarians."

---

Let us hope you are wrong about that.

"What, in fact, is "equality"? The term has been much invoked but little analyzed. A and B are "equal" if they are identical to each other with respect to a given attribute. Thus, if Smith and Jones are both exactly six feet in height, then they may be said to be "equal" in height. If two sticks are identical in length, then their lengths are "equal," etc. There is one and only one way, then, in which any two people can really be "equal" in the fullest sense: they must be identical in all of their attributes. This means, of course, that equality of all men – the egalitarian ideal – can only be achieved if all men are precisely uniform, precisely identical with respect to all of their attributes. The egalitarian world would necessarily be a world of horror fiction – a world of faceless and identical creatures, devoid of all individuality, variety, or special creativity."

--Murray Rothbard, "Egalitarianism as a Revolt Against Nature"

I’m intrigued....a couple of questions, though:

1) I presume you mean “FOIA” request and not “FOIL”? If not what is an “FOIL” request?

2) If we don’t own a business we can’t really request a waiver can we?

Hank
