Horrific video footage has emerged of Taliban insurgents stoning a couple to death for alleged adultery in northern Afghanistan.
Hundreds of villagers can be seen on the video standing around as the woman, Siddqa, is buried up to her waist in a four foot hole in the ground.
Two mullahs pass sentence before the crowd begins to throw rocks at her head and body as she desperately tries to crawl free.

If we were fighting as suggested in #6, I think fewer people would be asking.
Instead, our troops will probably be sent in build the poor, suffering villagers a new school and bring them running water.
If we build villages etc., it will not be for the Taliban but for those who have bravely outlasted them.

We are not trying to help the Taliban, we are trying to get rid of the Taliban. The Taliban have absolutely NO historical significance in Afghanistan. They are a criminal enterprise from Pakistan, supported by the ISI. Really they are invaders. IMHO, being the criminals that they are they are looking for power and control of those poppy fields to enrich themselves and to finance their criminal enterprise.
I don’t even judge these creatures by Western standards (at least the ones we used to have). I also can’t believe the “couple” thought they would return without having that end result; did they think their neighbors got progressive after 1000 years? These countries will only change when enough people are determined to break the power of their theocracies; until then to even question ANYTHING about Islam is a death sentence. The world is not big enough for both Islam and secular democracy; many deny this, despite daily examples from around the globe that it is so.
I thought that that is the only solution since 9/11. They will teach the next generation this same crap and the next.
You refer to “Pakistan” and “Afghanistan” as though those terms have any meaning to many of the people living there. Those concepts are so abstract to the animals in this video; I don’t think they have any interaction with a central government at all over the village level (the village head might, but then only to the next level - provincial). That is part of why this war is difficult to prosecute for the US, and why Pakistan itself can offer little help; many people in the remote areas of these countries live as though there is no border at all, and it isn’t like the LA riots where you send the creatures home by stopping mail delivery (especially of welfare checks) or cutting off power or something like that. The governments do nothing for these people, and the people don’t acknowledge those governments (see Karzai).

The MSM and the regular everyday liberal in this country would defend them if the stoning took place in NYC in front of the new shrine they want to build to their Prophet. There is a guy on trial now in Buffalo who cut off His wife’s head, no discussion in their paper about the Koran, the rights of the husbands to do this or the fact if He took Her to Afghanistan and cut off Her head he would walk free. Were never going to agree with liberals on anything, their aliens. We have to keep them out of power.

Even the Afghanis hate Karzai, they don’t trust him, they know he is corrupt. Massoud was making great headway until his assassination.
We leave and give in to the Taliban we are back to square one again. The country then goes up for grabs to any terrorist entity that will pay the price and they will have safe haven to do whatever they want. Plus do you really want a power base right next to a nuclear Pakistan? They are teetering as it is.
On a brighter note, the ammunition shortages seem to be subsiding across the country.

My point is that the MAIN problem is ISLAM, not just the Taliban.
The Talibanistas are doing nothing but putting into practice what every orthodox Muslim believes and what Islamic teachings dictate.
The Taliban, the Muslim Brotherhood, etc, are mere reflections of many maniacal movements generated by Islam over its entire history.
And scenes like this are replicated a thousandfold in every Islamic country, including those where no Taliban exists.
I think we should deal with Muslim threats by Blitzkrieg tactics, moving in, destroying their military and infrastructure and then pulling out. By doing so we will teach them a painful lesson without subjecting our troops to a mindless, bloody, costly, and ultimately unprofitable adventure in trying to civilize savages.
They could much better be employed on the Mexican Border right now.
As for the Border, we can put the National Guard down there. However, putting troops on the border with binoculars and a radio is not going to do the trick. Put the National Guard down there with orders to capture and if need be shoot! Gotta have bullets in the guns to be effective. Unfortunately that ain’t gonna happen!
Unless they follow the practice Eisenhower instituted, we will continue to get illegals here.
Fortunately, at least most of them are Christians.
