OK Democrats, Balance the Budget Your Way

I would like to put that question to the liberals as an academic exercise. Come up with 1.5 trillion in budget cuts. Give us your dream cuts. Take out the entire defense budget of 600B. Give me another 900B. Where is it coming from?

I put on my liberal hat (it hurt) and couldn't come up with enough cuts. Is it possible for them? Is there enough 'evil conservative' spending out there?

it’s not what they should cut, that’s just wrong headed.

US govt receipts from taxes are around $2 trillion. the proper way to approach this problem is to say “we have $2 trillion... what are we going to spend it on?”

make them justify every bit of spending at every step

Oh, and can we increase entitlement spending while we’re at it? There should be enough. “The money’s out there” as I once heard a lib say.

Broke Democrats are pathetic. We need to force them to stop printing and borrowing. Slashing government is the way to go. No food stamps no medicaid no redistribution. No AFDC. All of it has to go.n No welfare. Nor foreign aid.

umm, the liberal way is to raise income taxes on the rich and seize a lot of middle class lifetime of accumulated wealth by estate taxes

So for 2013, when the o starts his second term, your employer will just send everything you earn to the fed gubmint, and you, comrade, can stand in line for food and rent vouchers
