They were trying to leave after making a narco-run to the local MS-13 gang members.

Im leaning towards a movie prop plane headed to a film shoot in AZ. Why the rush to cover the lettering? To avoid giving away the plot of the movie?

I doubt it was going to Tucson.
It may be spending the nite in Van Nuys.

Indeed. I do not see any Falcon 20s scheduled for departure from KVNY for today.

This was one of the aircraft Jerry Brown was using during his campaign. Mexico loaned it to him, but said they expected nothing in return.

The aircraft was in Van Nuys for
repairs. They were likely going to do some bumps and circuits and something went awry.

What is it about evil conspiracies that makes them paint their aircraft black?

Ah yes, Heff’s ol DC-9-32. The interior was pretty tricked-out; I saw some photographs of the cabin in an aviation publication. I think the aircraft was sold to a Venezuelan customer in the mid-1970s.

The funny thing is that that DC-9 last flew for Aeromexico and you post a pic of it on a thread about another Mexican-registered jet.

A lot of intreague here. However, don’t airlines cover their logo, etc. as soon as possible after a runway mis-hap if the craft cannot be moved immediately?
