CHALLAH @ WND (h/t ElderofZiyon)
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. Rutgers University campus police tonight barred some 400 Jewish students and their supporters, including some Holocaust survivors, from attending what was billed as an anti-Zionist gathering at the state school tonight.
The student-sponsored event was announced with an open invitation campus-wide, and Rutgers policy is for all student activities to be open to the public.
However, when the sponsoring organizations of "Never Again for Anyone" saw they were outnumbered by Jewish students and their supporters by about 4-to-1, they asked campus policy to bar students wearing kippas and eventually limited attendance to known supporters of the International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network, Americans for Muslims in Palestine and the Middle East Children's Alliance.
is there a link yet?
...well, that sounds illegal....
thanks
I would have posted it in its entirety, but there's a series of videos of the incident attached to the article that show you exactly what happened.
It would be greatly appreciated.
I seem to have prematurely posted this.
Sue their pant’s off.
For your review & possible ping.
Don’t sue them! Just pull all federal funds and contracts from the university for being a discriminatory organization.
And people say that Liberal Universities are antisemitic.
Where do they get that idea?
The eunuch-versities say they don’t want cat fights, but they do nothing about disruptors of conservative speakers.
Hopefully the school has the chutzpah (if you will) to demand they repay the ‘student funded’ advance and all related fees, including security. And, they should be decertified as a university sanctioned organization, and further banned from campus.
The BDS campaign that has overrun Europe and England has been trying to gain traction here for a long time.
I'm proud of the 400-including my friends-who showed up to support this country and its only Middle Eastern ally last night.
Exactly, meanwhile they host known terrorist some with blood on their hands, while banning Humas from the cafeteria if it is produced in Israel.
Hey guys, seriously, this pro Muslim anti Jewish crap is not cute anymore. It is really getting out-of-control.
There are three groups it’s clearly OK to discriminate against in this nation under obastard’s rule: Christians, Jews, and white males.
An extreme statement? Yup, but true. Someone prove me wrong...
Go for both.
When these guys say ‘Zionist’, what they mean is ‘Jewish’. They are not talking about Israel. Half of the anti-Zionist people couldn’t tell you what Zionist means specifically, and they couldn’t find Israel on a map.
They only know that it means hate Jews. This meeting reminds me of 1935.
Anti-semitism may be the socialism of fools, but anti-Zionism is just a way for anti-Semites to pretend they’re not pro-genocide, Islamified racists.
And it's getting worse almost by the day.
Add a few other groups that leftist unerringly discriminate against; conservative blacks, conservative women and all non-muslim Serbians.
They need to file a law suit.
They need to go after the Universities government funding too.
Universities often deny equal rights to targeted groups in the name of avoiding violence from leftists.
Usually it is Christians or conservative groups/speakers they deny the right to hold events or create University organizations.
Now they are going after Jews; telling them they are barred from University events? I guess this is coming down the road soon for Christians too. They are “progressing.”
These people are sickening.
Ping to the op
:(

Could you help me out?
...from attending what was billed as an anti-Zionist gathering at the state school tonight... when the sponsoring organizations of "Never Again for Anyone" saw they were outnumbered by Jewish students and their supporters by about 4-to-1, they asked campus policy to bar students wearing kippas -- and eventually limited attendance to known supporters of the International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network, Americans for Muslims in Palestine and the Middle East Children's Alliance...Those barred should have waited until everyone allowed to attend had arrived, then broken in and beaten all of them to death with bricks and baseball bats while holding the security people at bay. And then sued the university, and sued the federal government for giving financial support of whatever kind to this supposed center of learning.
If youd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.

Nice of Rutgers, an institution which I suspect takes federal funds, making this action highly suspect. Not that anyone will care.
Rutgers is a state university. Thus there could be grounds for a lawsuit on behalf of those denied access to the event, invoking the "equal protection" clause of the 14th Amendment.
Please see my post # 29.
You hit the nail on the head! In the case of state universities (which Rutgers is), federal courts can go a long way toward improving the problem if they have the guts to enforce the 14th Amendment's equal protection clause, just as they did in the 50s and 60s with respect to public school segregation.
and in view of the title of the event, ironic as hell, too.
While Rutgers is a state university, you can bet your bottom dollar that it takes federal funds, like virtually every other university in the US. I think only 1 or 2 colleges refuse federal funding, IIRC, Hillsboro and/or Grove City. Also, Rutgers students accept federal financial aid, so it would be subject to federal law suits as well.
PING, please pass on.
Conversely Muslims and lefties love to jam into Jewish events such as a speech by Benjamin Netanyahu and disrupt it. They have done it many times
If these money grubbing Muslims want to use student funds then all must be admitted who are not disruptive
For those who don’t know-—
Northern New Jersey is very immigrant heavy. Lots of Koreans and Hindus and Muslims from Bangladesh, Pakistan and India. Muslims are all over there. You drive down the main drag and lots of Mulsim oowned gasoline stations. You know this because the attendant must fill the tank in NJ.... no do it yorself
They just get dumber and dumber.
bttt
Rugers - another judenrein lib organization. And, by the way, how did the Islamofascists know for sure if anybody was Jewish or not? Did they check to people’s circumcisions? What a bunch of jerks!
Patterson is fille with jihad critters. Mohammed Atta lived there..
Tweeted it and was happy to see it’s all over Twitterland already! We need talk radio on this manana!!
BTDT in Europe last century; we are not going there again.
At least the perpetrators there were or are in the process of being punished.
People are discussing this all over Twitter, based upon my observations.
The more news of this outrage is spread, the better.
First a Thank You message for Atlas from one of the organizers of the protest: Thank You Pamela Geller
I arrived at Rutgers University around 5pm. Already people were arriving to attend the event. As it drew closer to the event, people started to get in line and patiently wait to be let in and for everything to begin.
A campus policewoman came in and announced that there was an area outside the hall designated for those who wanted to protest the event. Those who wanted to peacefully attend the talk were welcome to do so. They were also assured that it was open to the public and did not have to pay the Optional $5 to see the event.
However, things soon changed. The organizers sent out feelers into the hall and, after estimating that there were "150 Zionists" there, then decided to charge a $5 fee to enter. This was a clear case of false advertising since it was announced on their Facebook account. Despite people actually accessing the facebook page on their phones to that it was open to the public. Too Bad, according to the organizers.
What followed was an impromptu protest inside Douglas Hall. At one point, upon hearing that Rutgers Students would be admitted for free, the Jewish students held their Student ID cards high and demanded to be let in. But to no avail.
Another Pro-Israeli group wearing yellow shirts saying "Don't Politicize the Holocaust" came in as well. Don't Politicize the Holocaust
They were still not allowed to enter. A few people (I observed 7 in all) were allowed to enter upon paying the Blood Money. These people, however, were already supporters of the other side.
At one point, a Libyan Jewish refugee made a short statement before exiting the protest.
Despite not being allowed in, the spirits of the Pro-Israel crowd remained high and it certainly was contagious.
I’d be surprised if I was the first. I hope FIRE does get involved though - they’re the heavyweights in fighting civil-rights violations in academia.
No doubt about that.
But its officials can be sued in federal court because it is a state institution on the theory that they are in violation of the "equal protection" clause of the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution.
Recall that the "equal protection" clause applies to states and their agencies (including cities and counties, BTW, since they are creations of state government) only, but not to the federal government. Historically, the "equal protection" clause was the basis for, e.g., the Brown case vs. Topeka, Kansas regarding school segregation and the more recent cases against the University of Michigan (a state university) with respect to affirmative action in admission policies.
The point is that the fact that the university takes federal funds isn't a prerequisite for suing them in federal court. The suit can be filed in federal court on federal constitutional grounds alone.
This deals with a plethora of federal civil rights statutes as well. And God only knows how many laws a state like NJ would have in place to protect minorities, in this case “zionists.”
It would just be easier for the U to decertify the organization based on its violation(s) of the U’s regs, and to charge its officers personally whatever the cost of the event was. Hit ‘em where it really hurts, especially if that means tapping into financial aid or grants. Oh, yeah, U grants should be withdrawn in light of their egregious behavior. It would be as effective as any long, protracted lawsuit which they would spin so they are the victims. They would do anyway if the U decertifies. But the U has clear cut valid reasons to decertify.
True but it has to stop now. They receive federal funds, they have to follow the law of the land. If they think they will have a problem they have to take the least intrusive measures possible to prevent the problems, without violating civil rights This is a great case to pursue because they clearly “banned Jews” by singling out people wearing Yarmulkas, and thereby broke the law and denied rights to Jews that they offered to others. That is plain as day anti-Jewish discrimination and should be an easy case to win.
Those who say anti-Zionism is not anti-semitism need only look at this case. The organizers and the university spefically banned Jews from the anti-Zionist rally. It doesn’t get much clearer what their true feelings are.
And yes, Christians are currently discriminated against in many ways. Christians (practicing Christians I should say) are often prohibited from joining certain campus groups.
