Rebecca A. Mansour, an aide to former Alaska Governor and VP candidate Sarah Palin tweeted that an article by Politico which stated that Palin last night to the Safari Club in Reno Nevada dropped the "reload" phrase from her routine "don't retreat, reload" line is inaccurate.
For the record, this story is inaccurate http://j.mp/h5g5xG Yesterday in Reno Gov. Palin did say her trademark line "Don't retreat, reload."
The Politico article written by Andy Barr seemed to have gotten the story about the allege line being drop from Reno Gazette-Journal's David Jacobs who put his ear to a closed door of the ballroom where Palin spoke since the club closed the speech to the press.
Poltico wrote that Palin's new line was "don't retreat, stand tall" and that it was in response to her being heavily criticized in the wake of the tragedy for her political rhetoric.
Media sources typically use to confirm a story by two or more sources before running with it, Politico has been known to run with shady and even false stories on conservative politicians and conservative media, especially Governor Palin.
Politico - Palin retreats, won't reload
A FreeRepublic member SFmom who attended the speech confirm as well that Palin did not retreat from her famous line:
I was there!!! She did NOT say she was ditching the phrase and even repeated it!!!

Rebecca was there?
Thanks for the report.
Here you go...your boys at Politico retracted their story
Sounds like they just confirmed the Las Vegas reporter’s hearing.
Huh? Do you have any more info?
>>>My assumption is that everything negative I hear about Sarah Palin for the next two years is a lie until proven otherwise.<<<
As I’ve written here about a zillion times, I was actually a reporter at the Frontiersman in Wasilla, Alaska, when Palin was there on the city council and as mayor.
Just about everything written about Palin as criticism is a lie. Period. I’ve spent much of my life watching from the sidelines as the media slimed others, but watching them slime someone you know professionally has been one of the gut-wrenching experiences of my life, not to mention more than a little shame having my name as a byline in several newspapers along the West Coast.
My metaphor for the way Palin has been treated is gang rape. I used to dislike the left. Now my feeling is visceral hatred. I can easily see why people with those beliefs can line up people for the concentration camps, exterminate the kulaks, round up neighbors for the killing fields, and make a thousand flowers bloom.
My friend, your instincts are correct. My advice is to share your disgust with as many people as you can. God help us.
Have to give credit where credit is due, great choice of song, better luck next time.
The biggest problem is that more than half of American still thinks that the babble, rabble and spew coming from the MSM is the burning bush of truth and honesty.
If there should be any contributory campaign initiated by Sarah Palin and the conservatives of America it is the cleansing of the false politically motivated “gang rape” style talking heads of the MSM.
Targets? Shall we bring up targets? If not we shall use spotlights, we will illuminate those that are the propagandists, especially those with socialism, Marxism or Islamic leanings.
I'd say that's a wise move.
I knew it was a lie when I first read it.
Politico can’t be trusted on anything, period.
Thanks. Seesh, there is no bottom to their depravity.
Heavy quote, unfortunately filled with truth.
They see a light.
It grows larger and brighter.
They snort, growl, howl, and consume in the darkness with ravenous abandon in a vain attempt to distract themselves from the inevitable.
They know their time is short.
They smell their own extinction on the wind.
Just a Ruse to get her to Repeat it so they can Hammer her again
