Jimmy Carter will go down in American history as "the president who lost Iran," which during his term went from being a major strategic ally of the United States to being the revolutionary Islamic Republic. Barack Obama will be remembered as the president who "lost" Turkey, Lebanon and Egypt, and during whose tenure America's alliances in the Middle East crumbled.
The superficial circumstances are similar. In both cases, a United States in financial crisis and after failed wars loses global influence under a leftist president whose good intentions are interpreted abroad as expressions of weakness. The results are reflected in the fall of regimes that were dependent on their relationship with Washington for survival, or in a change in their orientation, as with Ankara.

Read the last chapter in the Book. Israel is the last man standing.
true, but it ain’t gonna be fun getting there.
Freedom, liberty, rights and democracy come from our heritage with much of it founded in the Magna Carta.
Muslims suffer a heritage that traps them in the 7th century where they forgo all those things as we understand them. Much like Africans. They marvel in the word democracy. Some can even spell it. But, guess what? Go in land in any of the nations and they are still tribalists. They blame colonialism on their retarded growth and have anger for it, but the real suppressor and oppressor is their own chief. In their realities? No one can get ahead of the chief, and the last thing he wants to hear about is democracy.... cuzz thats what is going to strip his power, prestige and property. The theologians are in the same boat.
We left tribal control long ago. Our political and philosophical perspective has had over 2000 years to take modern man to where he is. The barbarians are still 1700 years behind us.
Obummer will go down in Egyptian history as the Mummy
“I’d rather be a really good one-term president than a mediocre two-term president,” he told ABC’s “World News” anchor Diane Sawyer in an exclusive interview today.
Re: First of all, that cheeky Kenyan bastard is not president.
You are absolutely correct as we do not have a president at this time. He is just one of the occupants living in the White House.
