We just need to send Prez. Jimma’ over there to bring peace and peaches to the whole middle east while we circle our wagons and stockpile a load of nuclear weapons.
Thanks for posting. I didn’t have the links handy.
Glenn Beck owned answer to Drudge. They’re pretty good with the up to the minute news.
Caught a Israeli college student on some news clip saying she thinks this is great that her fellow Egyptian college students are protesting for freedom. I could not believe the sheer niavete from someone who actually lives in the region. The propensity for this to turn out very badly is extremely high at this point. Do people actually think the Muslim Brotherhood are going to go quietly into the night? Do people think Iran/Hamas will not quietly pour into the country now?
I doubt that man in your picture EVER supported
the Moslem Brotherhood and murderers of Americans
as has the US State Dept.
I agree.
This is what our Founding Fathers and most of our forefathers believed until recently.
The United States can’t save the world from themselves.
We can’t tame the barbarians.
This was a conservative position until internationalists and neo-conservatives (former Marxists) took over foreign policy of the Republican Party.
None of it did any good.
“I guess that proves, that you cant buy loyalty or friendships with money.”
You can only rent them.
A complete disengagement from the ME would guarantee Israeli nukes would fly. The only question would be, would the nuclear explosions be confined to the Middle East?
Sounds like the money was to help keep this particular Djinn corked up in its bottle, so to speak. As for folly of expecting gratitude or loyalty in exchange for so much of our treasure, I believe Randy Newman summed it up pretty well in Political Science:
*********************************
No one likes us-I don't know why
We may not be perfect, but heaven knows we try
But all around, even our old friends put us down
Let's drop the big one and see what happens
We give them money-but are they grateful?
No, they're spiteful and they're hateful
They don't respect us-so let's surprise them
We'll drop the big one and pulverize them
*******************************************
I agree. However I will say that our state dept.s response is very in character with Mr Neighbor's dim witted character, Gomer Pyle.
