Skip to comments.WI FREEPERS: Wisconsin Supreme Court Primary Election Feb.15th
Posted on 02/01/2011 3:38:58 PM PST by TheConservativeParty
On Tuesday February 15th, Wisconsin will hold a primary election for The Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Wisconsin Freepers, please do what you can to get your conservative friends to vote in this important primary.
There is one conservative running, sitting Wisconsin Supreme Court Judge David Prosser.
If high numbers of conservative voters are not motivated to vote for Judge David Prosser in this primary, we will have 2 liberals win the primary, and one of them will be on the court after the regular election.
The liberals have a get-out-the-vote plan. They want two liberals on the regular election ballot, and they can easily attain that goal if Wisconsin conservatives don't get moving on their own voter turnout plan for this primary election.
Mark Belling of WISN radio in Milwaukee spent an hour today alerting Wisconsin voters to this important primary. He fears that few conservative voters know about it, or even care. But it is vital to vote in the primary, or we will have lost a conservative seat on the court. The regular election won't matter if there are only 2 liberals on the ballot.
The democrat machine doesn't care which of their candidates wins the general election later on. They want to make that election meaningless but having both of their liberal candidates win in the primary.
Please help get out the vote for sitting Wisconsin Supreme Court Judge David Prosser. Let all your friends know about the primary and explain why they should vote in the primary as well as the regular election.
Freepers understand the power of those who hold Supreme Court seats. We just elected Scott Walker as governor, Ron Johnson to the Senate and took control of the legislature.
Now it's time to rally again and retain David Prosser's place on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
4th sentence from the end should read:
“They want to make that election meaningless
having both of their liberal candidates win in the primary.”
My husband and I have already voted absentee for Prosser but this an election that not many in Wisconsin know about.
I will spread the word to friends and family.
I am sorry to say I didn’t have this election on my calandar until today when I heard Mark Belling BEGGING his listeners to pay attention to this election.
If a politically aware person like me didn’t know about it until 2 weeks before the voting, what hope do we have that the average Wisconsin republican voter will know about it and be motivated to vote in a primary...
I hope the WI GOP is aware of the low voter knowledge on this important primary.
Today Mark Belling did David Prosser and all conservative Wisconsinites a great service.
I emailed all my conservative friends and relatives today.
I plan on a repeat email the day before the election as a reminder.
I wouldn’t have known about it either if we didn’t vote absentee.
An election in Februrary? Obviously sceduled intentionally by the dems. You can be sure that all the unions know about it.
Good idea, I'll do the same. I also put your thead on the WI FR state board page.
Thanks Jean, Hey do you know who the ping list person is for the Wisconsin related stuff, or maybe the Midwest related issues?
I can’t remember who that is, although I notice those threads all the time.
We should ping that person and he or she can alert his or her pinglist.
We need to get an email campaign going to reach WI voters.
diana in wisconsin has the WI pinglist.
Will spread the word. Has Vickie been talking it up?
I’ve not heard her show a lot recently.
She is good about discussing this stuff as you know.
Her friend Brian Shimming has probably talked about it on the radio on Vicki’s show or his own show. Haven’t listened to his show much myself though.
Mark Belling is concerned because he will be on his annual WISN Cruise with his listeners when this primary is held. He will not be able to discuss it nearer to the election.
He said today that he thought his replacement hosts while he is gone, should be aware that they should talk about this in the days leading up to the election and on election day.
I think Vicki would talk about it, but I suppose an email or call to her about it would be a good idea.
I have not been listening to the radio shows a lot lately.
Maybe it’s all that snow removal?
Thanks again Jean.
The blizzard is really getting into gear now.
Should be a real winter wonderland by morning.
This is a mobilization alert to all Wisconsin voters. Conservatives have to make it happen in the primary. Making sure we have sane, strict constructionist as jurists is critical to prevent the liberal subversion of our Government. Please make your voice heard now in the primary because waiting until election day may be too late.
The wind is really starting to blow here too.
Thank you, iontheball!
We have to get Prosser through the primary.
To have 2 liberals win and be on the regular election ballot would be disasterous.
Conservatives, Get Ready To Fight and Win!
We did it in November, we can do it again!
Diana, could you please PING your entire list for me please?
We need a grassroots email campaign to alert WI voters about this primary.
Thanks and stay warm and out of the blizzard!
Why doesn't this surprise me that the LibTard run media in our state would want to keep this election under wraps? Can y'all see what we're STILL up against? Our VICTORY in November was very short lived!
Add me to WI PING list. I’m a volunteer in the Justice Prosser campaign.
Man, it’s nasty out! I will ping my heart out tonight as long as the power stays on! :)
Tuning in to the ‘State of the State’ as I finish this up...
I’ll e-mail Vicky. She’ll stay on this like white on rice. :)
Thank you Diana!
Glad you will contact Vicki.
Her pal Brain Shimming will be a help too.
Hello! Justice Prosser is lucky that Mark Belling is on his side. Mark spent an hour on this primary today. I think Mark is right, most voters are not aware of this important primary.
We at FR will do what we can to get Justice Prosser re-elected!
Thank you for your volunteer work too!
PS-when you have time, please add me to your ping list.
I added you. Glad to have ya! :)
I love them both. I listen whenever I can. I love it when she gets all fired up about something! Brian is a good counter-point to her. He calms her down and keeps her on task.
And Mitch Henck (our Morning Guy on AM1310 WIBA) is going to be my new Husband. He doesn’t know it yet, but it’s just a matter of time... :)
I listened to Mitch for many years.
I wonder if he knows that Vicki being on Milwaukee radio at the same time as he is, has cut into his listeners. I guess he’s aware of that. I still tune in to Mitch sometimes, but if the topic is not my cup of tea, I go over to Vicki on WISN. The husband and I want to go see Mitch’s “Big Show” someday.
I think the three of them (Vicki, Brian & Mitch) have done a lot to turn the tide in Wisconsin. They broadcast in the two bluest of blue counties (Dane & Milwaukee) and are truly making a dent.
God Bless Them! :)
PING........ New Information...GENERAL election is APRIL 5
FReeper Hamilcar_Barca tells me that the general election date for WI Supreme Court is April 5th.
Also the website for Justice Prosser is...
SPECIAL REQUEST FOR DIANA: please ping your list with this new info.
SPECIAL REQUEST FOR iontheball: If you have a list, please ping it for me too. Many thanks.
We will try to get Justice Prosser through the Feb.15th primary election, and then on to victory in the April 5th general election.
Wisconsin Conservative Politics Ping List Ping!
For Wisconsin you can apply for absentee ballots for the entire year or for only one election, no excuse is required anymore.
BUMP! I’m going to sign my Dad up for that! Thanks!
I also read somewhere that the GAB (elections board) is saying that they don’t have enough yime to incorporate photo ID before the next election. So, if you are voting absentee, you should include a photocopy of your driver’s license with your ballot application, or they might not count your ballot.
It would probably be wise to have your city clerk notarize your copy just in case.
See #34. I think I read that in the Milwaukee Journal this week.
Received this in email 2 days ago.
Dear Wisconsin Patroit,
The Wisconsin State Assembly leaders are dragging their feet regarding election reform because they are waiting for comprehensive legislation to be written. Other reforms are certainly necessary, but they cannot implement everything in time for the state Supreme Court election in April; so they should pass the first bill which includes photo ID by then. Comprehensive reform can be passed in two stages. The Senate did their part by conducting a public hearing last week. Now we need the Assembly to do the same. They should hear from everybody and their brothers tomorrow.
Please make three calls followed up with an e-mail tomorrow:
Call your Assembly Representative
Call Committee Chairman, Rep. Gary Tauchen -1-608-266-3097
Call Assembly Leader, Rep. Jeff Fitzgerald -1-608-266-2540
The message: Schedule an assembly hearing ASAP in February on whatever election reform they think they can pass in time for the April 5th election for the following reasons(please state all three as we need a consistent message):
1. Without photo ID this April, the other side will be able to distort the State Supreme Court race with fewer fraudulent votes because of the low turnout.
2. The clerks and voting precincts need to test this during a low-turnout election.
3. The other side may get a court injunction to stall the new law for this election cycle. If so, it is better to force that confrontation now than to allow them to stall it though courts until just before the 2012 election.
Do not retreat when you hear their rationalizations on “injunctive relief”. Reiterate these three points.
Tomorrow, February 1st is the “day of action”. However, if you cannot get through then, please continue throughout this week until you do.
Hi Diana, I just emailed Vicki too. I asked her to highlight this primary so the moonbats don’t sneak in and win it.I sent her a link to our thread here on FR, too.
I am so geeked out.
I got a reply from Vicki. She emailed me so fast I can’t believe it.
She is so cool.
I just love her. She’s done so much for our state in these past two years it’s amazing! She always answers my e-mails, too.
Mitch Henck had Joel Winning on his show on Wednesday. The only reason I listened was that I was snowbound, LOL! He’s running against Prosser.
His main ‘schtick’ is to legalize pot, which will probably garner him LOTS of votes in Dane County!
Yeah. He’s that much of a dork.
Vicki says she’s having a lawyer friend of hers on the show right before primary day. She is confident that Justice Prosser will clear the primary, but of course we must be vigilant. God Bless her. She is fearless. I know she takes a lot of crap from the moonbats in Madison.
