I hate affirmative action and, just so you know, I’m not a guy.

It's interesting that you used the liberal term "haters"; especially in response to post #13.

So just one more question then.

Did you start out as a guy? /sarc>

Cheers!

I happen to like Ellen. Who she sleeps with is her business, not mine.

But the haters on this forum are too much.

I would say most here hate the sin not the sinner, as we all know that we are all sinners. I'd like to think we all would hope that someone trapped in a pattern of sodomy would see the light. But getting someone to see the error of their ways is not accomplished by denying what they are doing is wrong. We don't always take the time to reiterate this "sin not sinner" point.

I think very assertive reactions spring from the fact that at this point in time there is a very pervasive and powerful sodomite lobby which is far more successful than any other criminal, immoral or anti-American lobby. The sodomite lobby seeks to slowly and continually generate acceptance of sodomy and this influence is extremely strong in schools. The enormous political correctness which has resulted from a decades-long stealth campaign is what causes people to not mince words. Drug use is also very politically correct and acceptable in left-wing circles, but it's also acknowledged to be a problem. Sodomy is not considered a problem by the politically correct left-wing, but either a genetic pre-disposition or a right of personal choice, depending on what's more convenient to use in a debate. It is extremely concerning to anyone who believes in the truth of the Bible to hear so many Americans, in positions which years ago would have been considered pillars of society, i.e., daughters of ex-Presidents, who are so deluded as to completely accept sodomy.

Ditto and I guess they just don’t get it that FR chooses not to promote deviant lifestyles. I don’t hate Ellen, I simply ignore her, have no use for her and pity her. Her Mom is a nice woman, too bad her daughter turned out to be like she did.

You see, herein lies the problem. I'll cut to the chase. Seventy of what is transmitted, interpreted in conveyance of language, visual, audio cues, known in the parlance as physiognomy, reading of body language, visual cues, voice pitch that is lost, not at all transmitted via email. The Wall Street Journal reported that the missing visual cues conveyed in person, on the phone, does not get transmitted, the results of misread, improper interpretation in which email's glaring short-comings runs in the hundreds of millions of dollars lost as a result.

The attempt to compensate for email's horrendously poor means of communication has been the appearance of emoticons, in all the various iterations towards improved language conveyance but which has overwhelmingly failed overall.

So what is all this Sturm und Drang got to do with alll the tea in China? In person, you would never lose sight of the way I've been projecting myself to you, the exaggerated facial expression, voice inflection unmistakable in the sarcasm, irony,tongue-in-cheek style, the same sort of persona, in which all my messages were sent in low-key, good-natured, wholly disarming way that was totally lost on you. :-)

The problem with the homosexual movement has nothing to do with homosexuality, and everything to do with a sub-group’s striving to create a state of hostile tension between homosexuals and non-homosexuals, based on presumed (and usually nonexistent) discrimination.

It would be the same if any other personal characteristic became a permanent feature of a group’s claim to fame. If people with facial moles rallied for equal rights, and every political statement from them had something to do with facial mole rights, we would all get tired in a hurry. That’s where the homosexual movement finds itself today: boring, over-played, irrelevant, not consequential.

But the haters on this forum are too much.

From a purely logical and economic standpoint, for all the athiests and agnostics out there, us "crazy" Christians out there aren't recommending anything that is bad when we point out that the Bible says sexual relations should only be between a husband and wife; it avoids many problems of society that today people think the government needs to fix (think about not having your own kids having babies before they move out, or more government spending to have the government pay for other people's kids having kids.

It's a good idea to also keep in mind that fornication is also sinful behavior, i.e., any sex outside of wedlock. That should help many to become convicted of their own sin and need for salvation. Remember, Jesus words remind us that sin is sin; if I commit sin A and someone else sin B I should definitely not be pointing out sin B and hiding my own sin A. God is no respector of persons; we are all equal in his eyes. How many times does the Bible admonish us to not be hypocrites ?

The big concern as a nation - The United States of America - when we start having our government change it's laws to actually condone sin then our nation is in serious trouble. So far we have not completely legalized robbery and murder, though we certainly have made jail the Ritz-Carlton compared to when the country started. Oh, and if your mother has someone kill you in her womb before you are "viable" that's legal. Really, of course, you were perfectly "viable" from the moment you were conceived, other than the killing part, but hey, what's logic got to do with it.

Hmmm... maybe there’s an invention there.
yes, like attribute byte on early PC screens.

Along with text, include emotions. Innuendos are already there; all the implicit stuff is implied.

Video does this except for what’s in one’s mind but not showing on one’s face.

We could call it EML, emotive markup language...

I would think that the law/contract would have to stand or fall on the letter of it merits regardless of previous drafts and campaign statements.

I agree with you. Ms DeG may be Sapphic but here in the NOLA area she is known as a personally kind individual who has not lost her humanity as she became a star. someone did shout at her as she was entering a hotel that they would pray for her. She stopped and personally thanked the rather flabbergasted woman telling her that ‘ewe all need all the sincere prayer we can get.’ It wasn't mockery either.

...saying that it would be like forcing the homeless to buy homes.

Which is not too far from what happened with the loose loan terms forced on the mortgage industry through Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Not quite forced but they were strongly encouraged and enabled.

Obama only opposed the individual mandates then because Hillary supported them. He had to have something to distinguish himself from her, that was more acceptable to more people. The percentage of people opposed to government forcing you to buy something you don’t want hasn’t changed. The only thing that has changed is Obama’s position.

he opposed forcing the uninsured to buy health insurance, saying that it would be like forcing the homeless to buy homes.

Only that the homeless don't buy these homes, he's giving the homeless homes subsidized by everyone else who pays taxes. And anyone who can't afford to live in the homes they're in because they can't afford the mortgage are being allowed to stay there while the taxpayers are mandated to pay off the mortgages.
