Japan's 'James Bond' volcano erupts again

Tokyo (CNN) -- Japan's Mount Shinmoe erupted again on Wednesday, spewing more lava, smoke and ash through the area, the country's meteorological agency said.

The volcano erupted twice on Wednesday, at 5:25 a.m. and 10:47 a.m., Japan's Meteorological Agency said.

Since January 26 when it broke its decades-long slumber, the volcano has erupted seven times, the agency said.

For many outside Japan, Mount Shinmoe is known for its role in the 1967 James Bond movie "You Only Live Twice," where it served as the lair for the villain, Ernst Blofeld.

In the nearby town of Takaharu, ash blanketed cars, houses and streets, where 1158 residents have been advised to evacuate. Town officials said 614 people so far have fled their homes.

On Tuesday, Mount Shinmoe erupted with an infrasonic wave that shattered windows in houses in the town of Takaharu.

Little Nelly

I forgot about that. Let me rephrase the question: name the type of helicopter.

This is the real reason the weather is changing. Look for rain this spring and summer. Guys who live along the Mississipi, better move.

Move?

Because of this?
(Got Food?)

"Consequences in North America

In North America, the winter of 1784 was the longest and one of the coldest on record. It was the longest period of below-zero temperatures in New England, the largest accumulation of snow in New Jersey, and the longest freezing over of the Chesapeake Bay. There was ice skating in Charleston Harbor, a huge snowstorm hit the south, the Mississippi River froze at New Orleans, and there was ice in the Gulf of Mexico.[16][17]

I thought it was HAARP/Nibiru/ET.

I guess this doesn't rule that out though, does it?

Love your post devolve.
Brings back old memories. Hard to believe that movie was in 1967!! Love all the little people!

[Since January 26 when it broke its decades-long slumber, the volcano has erupted seven times]

It makes you wonder about it being a precursor to the earthquakes?

.

I ran across that thread early today -

I had to upsize the graphic I originally created several years ago to used it as a <table background= image to float the little people on.

I guess we never pay much attention to the long history of volcanos in Japan until we see earthquakes increasing in intensity and causing huge tsunamis destruction.....

One of these days I will have to dig up the Dr. No graphics I created for an Obamacare post.

Right now with 0bomber’s “non-war” in Libya I could work up a “THUNDERBALL” theme post -

Yes, good to revive this thread considering what’s happened.

Someone posted an ‘atomic bomb’ photo with a clown face recently. I saved it because it went along with the clown face on Obama. Could make a good graphic if I get the energy to do anything, lol.

I don’t recall which graphics you are talking about so can’t help.

Thunderball works with that clown head A bomb too.... There is a good explosion photo posted above too.

Yes - I saw that Atomic Clown Bomb graphic - Attention grabber!

Good with “THUNDERBALL” (or) “NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN” - the independent remake of THUNDERBALL with a bit older Sean Connery as 007

There are some JOKER head images of various sizes in the /JOKER/ folder

I'll upload the Obama A Bomb. Just not interested in working on it right now. Sorry. My ideas always involve animation, billowing clouds, etc, and that involves painting.

Yup.

That was a good call but this puny little thing in Japan didn't cause it.

“Yup.

I never said it was this volcano, I said ‘look for rain this spring and summer’ and referenced and article to show Benjamin Franklin noticed weather changes after volcanic eruptions. It is due to these volcanic eruptions, which we have been having many of.
