here’s the scenario
china does nothing small. they believe in overwhelming an opponent and have for thousands of years. what would that mean in this case?
we have 7 carrier groups and 188 F22s... and a big bread basket of food in the middle of our country, otherwise known as the prize... surrounded by mountain ranges on the east and west. why are the mountain ranges significant? because they will block any fallout from hitting the food. we also have 80% of our population within 50 miles of the coast.
so... you’re china... how do you get the prize?
subterranean nukes on the east and west coast on the first strike along with an EMP over the center of the country and then mop up with conventional forces.
how would you do that?
the EMP would be launched from a space plane and get into position via secure satellite. (space plane... check. secure military grade communicates and satellite tech... check)
the nukes don’t have to be intercontinental... just enough to launch from offshore (launch missile from west coast without being detected, except for a contrail... check). you would prolly want multiple warheads per missile (w88 warhead tech... check) and subterranean detonation capability (check)
then you need to control the seas to ship the food home, via mississippi and the panama canal. this would mean you need to deal with the US navy... 7 carrier groups... and the airforce, only 188 F22s and a few hundred F16s (1000 F22s... working on it)
how to deal with them? nuclear sea mines for the carrier groups or sub launch (subs with nuclear warhead torpedoes... check). if that didn’t work... how about 100 carrier groups of your own? that would work.
and of course, have it all pop within the same 1-2 hr span (global synchronization technology... check)
what about the 1500 nukes America has? infiltrate the software development that is used to control the silos (check) and the launch systems (unknown). in country sabotage also to be used 1-2 hrs before 0 hour. meanwhile, they could attempt to shoot down our missiles (defense shield tech... check)
in the end, there would be 100 chinese carrier groups roaming the oceans, chinese troops controlling the mississippi and food production... and controlling the panama canal (panama canal... check)
if we tried to stop them? how? they would shut down any such effort and kill anyone that tried. we don’t even have steel production anymore.
then you’ll get people saying they wouldn’t do that because they hold a lot of US debt and many US dollars. hmmm... that’d be about $1 trillion in US debt and maybe $2 trillion in physical cash. even if the number was $5 trillion... that’s not much to pay for world domination and to insure the future of your country. hell, we’re ok with spending $2 trillion each year on social programs...
and in the face of all this... getting rid of your force multipliers is just stupid.
it’s best if the kiddies were to just stfu and sit down before they get us all killed. this is an adult game.
btw, i see this being 5-10 yrs out as they put their carrier groups together and train up their deep water navy.
