The “funny” (not haha) thing about this is how the Feds work zealously to protect corporate and commercial interests from being pirated, but do zip to protect the USA citizen rights of employment from being pirated by illegal Mexicans.
Think about the double standard for a second.
Employers are able to hire pirated American citizen labor (i.e. illegal Mexicans) at big discounts while US citizens are prohibited from buying pirated CDs or DVDs at discounted rates. Our pro illegal immigrant/corporate policies protect the few while harming many Americans. Our government should be about protecting “we the people” first. Not record labels.
not sure if you saw this or maybe I overlooked the ping
NFL franchises that have corrupted politicians and have stolen billions from taxpayers to build their overpriced, plush box seat stadiums, and then overpay their players are terrorists IMHO. Let the taxpayers who were ripped off take a free cut of their action.
Well said.
In the opening days just after Sept. 11th, The Onion had an article about Al Quida doing a telemarketing scam for their fundraising. It’s worth at least making a joke that osama’s folks are selling pirated copies of “I am Legend” to finance what they do.
Cause that would be the only justification of Homeland Security being involved.
Still the name “Homeland Security” chills me to the bone.
