John, it's time to go. Rest on your laurels as a pilot for the USA, your time and body spent as a POW and your service as a Senator of the USA.

Please, retire, and enjoy the rest of your life. In all sincerity, go home.

But Juan said nothing about refraining from backstabbing and undermining GOP primary candidates. No one should think he won’t be ‘involved’.

John McCain’s endorsement is essentially useless. He lost the 2008 presidential election to a crypto-communist with no record of achievement and many dubious associations. Yes, the media helped Obama enormously but McCain’s Vice Presidential candidate - Sarah Palin - eclipsed McCain from the day she was introduced at the GOP convention. He ran a lackluster campaign and many believe he had no intention of winning. I’m one of those people. His endorsement would be pointless because McCain has no real standing with the average voter. In short: nobody cares, John. However, I suspect McCain will covertly try to help Obama by making approving comments about his administration during the 2012 election cycle while carefully avoiding saying anything really positive (beyond platitudes) about the eventual GOP presidential candidate. Frankly, I wish McCain would just shut up, as he has promised. With his ego? Fat chance!

It’s fairly reasoned to join a ticket in an attempt to moderate it.

The mistake was in backing the old coot when he ran for re-election to the Senate. We would be rid of McCain if not for the support of people who should have known better.

"I think I'm staying out of this for the first time in many years," McCain said.

Too bad he didn't say the same thing about his campaign last November.
