For me 60 bucks a month is steep considering I am unemployed..I might just try it for a month or two and see how I like it, I can always lower the plan to something cheaper. It would be good if instead of an unlimited data plan they had something designed for people like me who don’t require that don’t always need to be online with it. Ive been with Verizon for about 5 years now, got the new every two two years ago and have been waiting for this moment to be able to use it..sick of my EnV phone anyway

(Now, if I could only get my company to ditch Microsoft’s revenge on the productive world, (Outlook) , I’d be a happy camper.)

You have my sympathies. I cannot think of a more awful, clunky piece of junk than Outlook.

It’s just too bad your caps-lock key is stuck on your keyboard...

My curiosity leads me to wonder how many iPhones will be sold this month... with Verizon alone, and in total. I wouldn’t be surprised if AT&T’s monthly iPhone sales dropped somewhat, but that Verizon’s will be through the roof.

I have little doubt that the RIM/Blackberry market share will see a huge hit from this.

There will be quite a few Android users who jump ship as well.

Happy that apple saw the light and got a decent carrier.

Where the heck does this false implication come from? Apple offered the iPhone to Verizon first and was turned down. Verizon's top brass said it wasn't worth the changes they would need to make to their voicemail system to justify what they saw as a short-lived, specialized market. Boy were they wrong, and I am fairly certain they have been kicking themselves for some time now.

And as someone else posted on another thread - While some areas of the country see some pretty bad service coverage from AT&T, the same can be said of Verizon. What I know - everywhere I go - AT&T is far more consistent in coverage than Verizon. Does that carry over to areas of the US that I don't or haven't visited? Maybe, maybe not. I suspect if I went to the far North East, I might find a lot more issues with AT&T. But here in the South, AT&T pretty much as the best coverage. Not perfect, but none are.

You can enter the wrong pw 10 consecutive times and the bb will wipe itself clean and restart. If you care about your contacts, that’s not a great option though.

I was reading the other day that Android is better than the iPhone. How so? Or not so?

Better is a relative term. A lot of it is like rooting for a football team. That said, the iPhone is my choice. I like the fact that I've had my iPhone for 2 1/2 years, and it still works. I like the automatic synching and updates. I like the fact that it doesn't have a lot of moving parts.

I also like the fact that Apple doesn't make their profit from advertising, so there tends to be less data harvesting and selling. I like the fact that iOS doesn't have a bunch of different variants, and I can be reasonably sure that if a program is written for iOS, it will work on my phone.

Others, who have different needs and desires, may prefer Android.

Yeah, that 508% growth is sustainable — and in three years, every man, woman and child on Earth will have three Android phones.
