Anyone in Alpharetta GA want to organize a protest - Michelle is going to be there

On February 9, the Let’s Move! anniversary, the First Lady will deliver a major address focused specifically on the campaign’s efforts to meet the needs of parents. Mrs. Obama will reach out to parents to commend them for the impact they have had on fundamentally shifting the conversation on childhood obesity this year. In a speech hosted by North Point Community Church and Ray of Hope Christian Church at North Point’s congregation in Alpharetta, Georgia, Mrs. Obama will share personal reflections about how she came to this issue, discuss the issues parents deal with, and what has been achieved together.

OK...I don't believe you and neither should anyone reading this thread.

No one at that church can tell you who the majority of its members voted for in the last presidential election. Anyone who claims to be able to do that is lying.

“Exactly how does one “have” their members vote for Obama?”

You misread my statement.

They “had” many of their members vote for Obama like one “has” something bad happen to them. I.E. I “had” my my cows get out of the fence.

To my knowledge there was no pro-Obama push.

That’s on a Wednesday. What time will she be there? And why is she allowed to campaign in a church?

“OK...I don’t believe you and neither should anyone reading this thread.”

I told you what I know. I can’t say who told me, but the person would FOR SURE know. I’m not a journalist, so I don’t have to source. Sorry.

Like I said, take it for what it’s worth and see if it lines up with future data (like, say, inviting Michelle to speak etc.)

Okay, yes I did misread that.

Out of a church of about 20,000 people, I’m sure that a few did vote for Obama.

If Moochelle really wanted to do something about obesity, she would tell her husband to stop giving food stamps to fat people.

A majority did.

Wow, so your friend talked to like 20-something thousand people to find out how they voted.

(4th largest church in the US - http://churchrelevance.com/100-largest-churches-in-america-for-2009/ )

The person who told me this would know.

Do you think it is possible that a majority at Saddleback voted for Obama? Especially given that their Pastor gave the invocation at the inauguration?

Entirely possible.

The megachurches I am familiar with are not soundly conservative.

No they wouldn't.

No person at any church, including the pastor or any staff member, would know how the members of a church voted in an election. The notion is absurd.

Thanks. I’m disgusted with churches getting into politics.

Some people in the audience of this big church (that should be PRO-LIFE) should start yelling “what about unborn children who never have a chance to become obese”.

“the First Lady “

The first shall be last.

That which is esteemed among men is abomination to God.

The churches are political enclaves. They are instrumental in naming Cynthia McKinney Blvd. and such

Look for a man and his animal loving, abortion supporting wife. They’ll probably be on their knees while looking up in praise for their messiah’s wife. These would be the same people who worship movie stars and rock and country singers.

The source should be North Point Community Church, not North Point Baptist... Nevertheless, I am stunned... That would be a pretty conservative congregation, I don’t think this is going to go over well. I don't know a polite way to say this, so I'll just say it. There are Baptist churches where the congregation is African American, and whether it's deserved or not, the Obama's are worshipped there.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I agree with you but North Point Church isn't one of those places!

As I said in a private reply to you, state your source(s) before you make unfounded statements that you’re not bothering to substantiate.

Again, how would a top level staff person know how their membership votes!! You have no facts, only hearsay! Not good enough for me.

They are coming into Red State territories like the plague. He is trying to convince everyone that he is suddently a centrist, as well as a great man of faith. This is for someone who hasn’t been to more than a handful of church services since he was elected. Michelle is just like him.

“No person at any church, including the pastor or any staff member, would know how the members of a church voted in an election”

Not true. They might not have exact numbers, but they can know which way the church is leaning.

I didn’t make an unfounded statement and you didn’t send me a private reply.
