Personally, I missed the halftime show because I had more important things to do ... like pop some corn, refill the suds, pet the dog, and head down the hall to the little room on the right ... not necessarily in that order.

So did Fergie wet her pants on stage?

I missed it, too. My 3 year old had to poop, which somehow I think was quite appropriate. She’s a conservative in the making :-)

Worst halftime show ever. Some months ago on the Takimag webzine the former lighting manager for the Peas’ overseas tour wrote about why he quit, basically saying the Peas’ are celebration of idiocy.

The entire half time show was so horrible it was laughable.

Was it meant to be real entertainment real or was it some kind of nightmarish spoof put on by Mad Magazine and The Onion?

It boggles the mind to think that supposedly knowledgeable people were actually paid money and given a huge budget to plan and execute a Super Bowl entertainment extravaganza and his is the best idea they could come up with.

I watched this with my wife and 14 year old daughter and didn’t hear the “Obama” reference. If I had, I would have had to leave the room. I can’t “mute” out everything and lately that’s what I’ve been doing. My daughter knows better anyway.

The Black Eyed Peas seem stuck between real music and rap. The songs had no real tune or melody most of the time, and were seldom enjoyable.

Entertainers who mention ANY politician immediately alienate half of their listeners.

Just shut up about politics.

I’ve never heard the Black Eyed Peas. Now I know I never will.

If Ronald Reagan had seen this year's Super Bowl halftime show, he would say, "Jerry Jones, tear down this stage!"

Hm. I doubt that anybody paid enough attention to that mess to realize it. Visually interesting, I suppose .... but unbelievably dull.

I saw the first part of the halftime show...

It didn’t keep my interest at all. Between keeping the inquisitive grandbaby out of trouble and grabbing a snack from the fridge, I was productively employed during halftime. Oh, yeah... and I pet my dog, too...

Actually from what I’m reading and hearing from folks that pay attention to BEP it was a normal BEP show only more so. Box head people and light up dorks is their typical show. As the reviews roll in you can guarantee that somewhere an NFL guy is saying to his computer “well you were complaining about all the octogenarian rockers”.
