Rendells tell friends they are separating

HARRISBURG -- Their marriage survived years of speculation about Ed Rendell's never-confirmed affairs, but today -- 20 days after the former governor left office -- he and U.S. Circuit Judge Marjorie O. Rendell told friends they are separating.

The news came in a five-sentence email sent at 4:08 p.m. and signed "Ed and Midge."

The Rendells told recipients that the split is amicable, that they will remain friends and that they "will not find it awkward or uncomfortable" to be invited to the same social events.

The Rendells have been married for about 40 years.

That is.....until he goes to sit down and finds something in his seat. Something tells me it won't be snow.

No. There was something young and blonde involved and it was female. I guess since he’s out of public office his wife can give him the boot.

He needs to separate from politics, lobbying, “public service” (a misnomer) and not from his marriage.

Ping to Physicyst,

Is this the same Judge that heard the Don Adams (Freeper) case and let the Union thugs go?

If someone has Terri's (sister of Don Adams) full Freeper name (I forget) please ping her.

I don’t think Midge was involved directly in Don and Terri’s case.

Ed did buy her Federal Judgeships from Clinton using a campaign fund transfer — about a half a million total for two levels combined, according to a friend of mine who worked under Ed in Philly.

Thanks bvw.

This is crazy. I waa at the trial but can't remember the female judges name.
I do remember Don had a goofy attorney and another one for Free Republic, some leach bag that tried to get paid for doing nothing.

That and her cache is being “well-loved by all” and amiable. A difficult and messy divorce not good for that rep.

A attorney willing to challenge the powers-that-be in Philly and its PA suburbs is HARD TO FIND. A GOOD one just about impossible. Consensus is ingrained in the culture. “Quaker City” has some meaning.

Easier in New York and Jersey.

I’m sure she’s not a judge because of him, and that he didn’t use the marriage until hia political career was over. /s

Nothing is as it seems in our corrupt culture. Distressing news, those two put up quite a front in the governors mansion.

Something else is going on with Mr. Rendell, I think. He’s been off base somehow for the past year, maybe longer. Just my distant observation. Age? Health? It’s like he deflated, withdrew from things.

"Fast Eddy gets a speeding ticket..."

There used to be a speed trap between Harrisburg and Lebanon, PA on the PA Turnpike and the State Police would take no s.. from his driver on the way to Philly.

For the last two years in office Eddie would avoid it by going past my house through Hershey to get beyond the trap. We all know his limo and used to laugh, there goes Eddie.

Speeding, we would breath easy when they didn't hit any chocolate workers.
