Social Scientist Sees Bias(Hell freezes over as NY Times reports that liberal bias does exist)
The New York Times ^ | Feb. 8, 2011 | JOHN TIERNEY

Some of the world’s pre-eminent experts on bias discovered an unexpected form of it at their annual meeting.

Discrimination is always high on the agenda at the Society for Personality and Social Psychology’s conference, where psychologists discuss their research on racial prejudice, homophobia, sexism, stereotype threat and unconscious bias against minorities. But the most talked-about speech at this year’s meeting, which ended Jan. 30, involved a new “outgroup.” (Conservatives!)

I suppose someone wearing pink-tinted glasses from birth would eventually come to the conclusion that the color pink didn’t exist too. Ask a fish what water is...

It is precisely this bias which prevented the APA from warning Americans about voting for someone with Dumb0’s childhood background.

No child who has been abandoned by both his father and mother, raised bi-racially in Hawaii and Indonesia and left for hours at a time alone with a self-admitted pedophile (Frank Marshall Davis) can grow up with a normal emotional attitude. In fact, these factors will almost surely lead to the pathological narcissism that Dumb0 exhibits.

I smell a Rat. I am thinking there is an establishment move afoot to put down the Tea Party. Seems to me that the RINOS, NWO Republicans and Globalists are cuddling up this week. Look out!

It’s a trap. Trying to tempt us into demanding affirmative action and quotas for conservatives - thus exposing our “hypocrisy”.

Imagine that!

John Tierney is a conservative, and a good man. I wonder how long he's been knocking on their office doors to run something like this.

It's a great article, documenting the false assumptions and weird groupthink behind the search for the unholy grail of discrimination.

I nominate the THREE admitted conservative psychologists out of the 1000 attending their convention for the Profiles in Courage Award. They have more spine than all the GOP Congress critters combined.

The “true scientific method” has gone by the wayside in all fields for many years including the social sciences. We see this vividly in the research and data collection on global warming. Since the majority of scientists are of the liberal persuasion, they form an opionion before the scientific method is implemented and thus skew the data/procedures in the research to insure it will support their belief. This is a great article but, it too will fall by the wayside and be poo-pooed by the majority of liberal scientists. Until these scientists are called/confronted by true investigative journalists in the media, the status quo will continue. And since true investigative journalists are ostracised in their profession like conservative scientists are in their profession, nothing will change.

In a 2007 study of both elite and non-elite universities, Dr. Gross and Dr. Simmons reported that nearly 80 percent of psychology professors are Democrats.

I simply do not believe this. It's more like 99%.
