Rep. Peter King Vows Not to Bow to "Political Correctness" Amid Backlash

On Wednesday, the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, and Michael Leiter, the Director of the National Counterterrorism Center are set to testify at a hearing before the committee titled "Understanding the Homeland Threat Landscape - Considerations for the 112th Congress."
Last week, a collection of more than 50 Muslim organizations wrote a letter to Speaker of the House John Boehner and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi condemning the idea of the hearings, which they said are reminiscent of "McCarthyism," and encouraged the committee to embrace an examination of "violence motivated by extremist beliefs, in all its forms, in a full, fair and objective way."
"Singling out a group of Americans for government scrutiny based on their faith is divisive and wrong. These hearings will inevitably examine activities protected by the First Amendment, an affront to fundamental freedoms upon which our country was founded. It harkens back to hearings held in the 1950s by then-U.S. Sen. Joe McCarthy," said the Muslim groups in the letter. "Muslims serve our nation as teachers, business owners, factory workers, cab drivers, doctors, lawyers, law enforcement, firefighters, members of Congress, and members of the armed forces. They contribute to every aspect of our nation's economy and society. The essence of our country is e plurubus [sic] unum: out of many, practicing their faith freely and contributing each in their own way, comes a strong, unified one."
In January Thompson joined the chorus of Muslim organizations in calling for an expansion of the hearing's focus.

Islam is a violent, supremacist, throat-cutting death cult. A cult with clout, unfortunately, with billions of members. A clear and present danger to western civilization or civilization in general.

Yeah, I’ve been meaning to do just that but I’m trying to hold off a few more years until I turn seventy. Gotta have something special to do on a big birthday like that, right? If I make it to eighty maybe I’ll blow myself up twice in one day.
