yes exactly! or be a conservative who supports the ideas of increasing morality in America, keeping kids away from porn, and teaching abstinence in schools but being totally ok with a place that is pretty much soft-core porn.
I have always found the food very good at Hooters. The “scenery” ain’t bad, either. I once walked next door from a Jiffy Lube to a Hooters to have lunch while they tended to my car. I started off with a plate of raw oysters on the halfshell. That was at least 10 years ago and I STILL remember that it was one of the best plates of oysters I ever had.
I’ve never been to one but I have friends who go there and to my knowledge haven’t ever gone without the wife. At least they both talk about various stuff on the menu. That’s all I know about it other than that it’s legal and anyone calling it soft-core porn either hasn’t been outside their own house during the summer for decades or just thinks they’re clever when they’re stoned.
I do agree with keeping kids away from porn, teaching abstinence in schools, and not getting upset over people dining any place where the staff are as decently dressed as a big percentage of the shoppers in your average retail store or restaurant on any summer day. Since I’m almost positive you go outside during the summer, I have to say that you’re not all that clever when you’re stoned.

Do they have fried oysters and oyster stew? I’m going to check them out if they have good oysters.
Hooters has stated that their product is not the food. Their product is the waitstaff.
Yeah, but to be fair they are a bit restricted.
The very first time I went to a Hooters was with the wife and my elementary school kids. It’s a perfectly acceptable establishment, and at the time (1994) certainly a safer and more wholesome place than, for example, the Oval Office of the White House.

A woman has to learn diplomacy and tact while being a Hooters girl. She has to learn how to smile when her instincts are to smash somebody’s head into a plate of lobsters. There seems like a lot of parallels between the two professions.
I’ve talked to many waitresses about the customer service skills they develop and how it can help them later in achieving career goals. If nothing else, they become sensitized to how other service people are treated in public so they will be less inclined to be rude themselves.

Having any honest job...working hard and collecting a pay check...is a leg up.
Their food sucks, but you gotta like the assmosphere.
I’ve gone to my local Hooters for years, and entertain clients there. I’ve become friends with the managers and all the waitresses. Many waitresses have gotten their degrees and moved on to new careers. None I’ve known have been “sluts”. My wife enjoys going there also. Love the fried pickles/jalapenos (my secretary makes me take her for the fried pickles).
That’s great! Apparently you go for the right reasons. . . nothing wrong with that. Great night out for you and your wife.
