Historians view puts Obama 15th???? WTH?

So many choices... Today I picked Woodrow Wilson as worst; tomorrow I might pick another. Wilson us the national progressive income tax, the Federal Reserve, created an actual "propaganda" arm of gov't, promoted Big Labor, practiced all manner of interventionism with setup of puppet gov'ts abroad, had willful disregard for his incapacity after a series of strokes, but most of all shaped the Treaty of Versailles setting the stage for the raise of Nazism and WW2.

Makes you wonder what the criteria they used.

W made some questionable decisions. It's too early for "history" to judge Iraq or Afghanistan - the major hooks these critics focus on. Whatever you think of his drunken sailor spending or the wars, even now it's clear W's term is objectively not "bottom 5 all time."

He responded timidly in the face of an immediately undermined presidency (Gore & selected-not-elected meme) and but well to 9/11 terrorist attacks: the economy kept moving, American people were kept safe.

There were no world wars, no brink of human annihilation, no civil wars, no Great Depression, allies still allies, foes still quietly dithering, no internment camps, no conscription... the primary complaints about W's tenure are "high class problems" - largely just effete whining.

W was not a GREAT president, more middle-of-the-road in my book, but Heaven help us if we'd had Al Gore or Obama in 2001!

Actually we probably would have a Reagan in office now if we had Gore in 2001.

Bush was a horrible president and a progressive. They are the problem...

Doesn’t matter their god isn’t looking too good at this point either.

It’s not about Bush anymore even though they still try to blame him for everything. Obama is going to start taking heat for his actions soon enough. I can smell it in the air.

W and Regan are the two Pubs who lead the worst while Obama is by far the worst Dem. I think W and Reagan will finish overall across the US, not in this McCall’s item, far better than Obama in years to come as our domestic and international safety is eaten away by this inept socialist in the WH. The nonsense that JFK is one of the top two for best is of course just inane. The poor guy was there for 3 yrs. and many people thought he would have a hard time in his re-election because of Cuba. Soaring rhetoric does not a Prez make. He had it but it was his tax cuts which turned out to be the best part of his reign.
