Months after top New York City officials expressed intense behind-the-scenes frustration at the security vulnerabilities at the United Nations headquarters in Manhattan, the U.N. is now planning to spend $100 million -- donated by the U.S. -- on the upgrade.

I’ll call your $100M and raise it $100M. Worth it to get rid of ‘em.
Because they wouldn’t take it. They know they have a good thing here.
That's only because WE can afford it.
What is this “donated” nonsense?
I suggest the first issue if the House is to rescind that $100 billion “donation”. Then cut U.S. “donations” to the U.N. immediately and for the foreseeable future until such time as the U.N. removes itself from the U.S.
Really? Ick, seems like US (me & you) should be paying to get rid of that garbage dump.
So annoying. I am telling you that if they can afford to do this crap than cuts to the Americans is insulting no matter where they come from. If only I could be President for three months.....
I read a few years ago that it would take $1 billion dollars to clean that place up / renovate it (supposedly full of asbestos).
It'd probably cost more than $2 billion today to do the same work.
Kick these "diplomat" thugs out of the country ... and make sure these thugs pay their NYC parking tickets too.
Turn that land into a park or some high dollar condos... anything's better than what's there now.
That is why I keep saying that once they cut out ALL the money they send to other countries, then all the BS programs here, then and only then we can talk about Social Security. Until then they can talk to the hand.
Give the $100 million to one of our tank battalions to pulverize the UN to pieces.
