These are Southern Democrats that are switching, often more conservative then Northern Republicans.

Stupak willingly made a deal with the Devil; I don’t buy the innocent tool crap. If he felt any conviction about abortion he would have left the Party of Evil (even if it ended his career); the myth of a “religious left” lives on.
I wouldn’t want the invertebrate as a Republican, though he is probably to the right of many of our northeastern Republicans. The fact that they don’t simply declare themselves independents, socialists, or anything else indicates that they are part of the Dem machine that is destroying Christianity in this country.
