From everything I’ve heard about the movie, I’ve been expecting at best a slightly elevated TV movie. But who knows? Could be a fine little film.

One problem, though, and it’s a problem I have with nearly all contemporary movies. Computer color-correction is annoying, and makes everything look unreal (in a bad sense) and, what’s worse, the same.

Cool preview. I saw two Coen brothers alumni. Jon Polito, who played Johnny Caspar in Miller’s Crossing, and Michael Lerner, who played the movie exec Jack Lipnick in Barton Fink.

I hope it does well!!! But already, I’m looking forward to the DVD Extended version.... When I do the Audible version, Dagny is always played by a young Barbara Stanwick in my head, I don’t know why.

I’m re-reading the book again. In my mind, I always see/hear Morgan Freeman as Hugh Akston

I just posted this in another thread about the trailer...

'I just watched the trailor. It doesn't look bad, but I have pictures of the main characters in my head, from reading the book, and I don't see it in these actors.'

'But I will go see the movie before judging it. And also reread the book before I see it.'

For the life of me, even though I have a clear picture of Dagny in my head, I can’t think of any actress that would live up to her.

The actors did not come across as what I had pictured, either. Also, it seems to me the timeline would be somewhere between the two world wars.

I was so happy to hear that they were producing this film independently of any studio, because that was the only way they could make the movie that they WANTED to make. Hollywood would have totally screwed this up. I’m very excited, and for the first time, am waiting eagerly for April 15th!

We know the powers that be have done everything to keep this movie from ever reaching the screen.

I believe this is the third production started, the only one that made it through?

Hoping for the best - but we shall see. - If not done right - what a waste of a timely, and maybe last, opportunity.

This is a movie the ‘establishment’ does not want out - particularly THIS administration - as it unveils them and the rest of the ‘looters’ - but good.

It might even wake up another whole layer of Tea Partiers.

And if double the number of protesters go to DC this summer - will the One hear us this time - will he acknowledge our right to be heard as he did the demonstrators in Egypt?
