(CBSNews)
On Friday February 11, the day Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak stepped down, CBS correspondent Lara Logan was covering the jubilation in Tahrir Square for a 60 MINUTES story when she and her team and their security were surrounded by a dangerous element amidst the celebration. It was a mob of more than 200 people whipped into frenzy.
In the crush of the mob, she was separated from her crew. She was surrounded and suffered a brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating before being saved by a group of women and an estimated 20 Egyptian soldiers. She reconnected with the CBS team, returned to her hotel and returned to the United States on the first flight the next morning. She is currently in the hospital recovering.

Surprise surprise surprise
She’s lucky she wasn’t beheaded for infidelity afterwards by the islamic savages.
Wow, that sucks. Brutal animals.
It's INEXCUSABLE for a blonde female to be there in the midst of these savages! Maybe now she knows the true face of Mooselimbs.
I can only wish her attackers the worst, slowest, most brutal deaths imaginable.
I feel sorry for her but if you hang you around dogs, you end up with fleas.
Under Sharia, any unveiled woman is presumed to be a prostitute.
That’s where Egypt is headed now
Welcome to Islam. It’s immoral to eat pork but rape is acceptable.
This story has none of the good times feel that came with Anderson Cooper being slapped about like a house servant.
“Maybe now she knows the true face of Mooselimbs.”
CBS is already trying to spin this as an aberration -— “wild element” -— instead of the true face of islam turned lose on the world.
This is horrible and sad and I am very sorry she went through this. Thank G-d she is alive.
I do NOT want to blame her but I blame her bosses: I was told before landing in Egypt (or any middle east country) to dress covered and modest, not hijab, but just modest from collarbone to lower legs. She was not dressed this way, and as a fellow blonde, you get a LOT of unwanted attention anyway even if you are dressed appropriately. I am not sure she was the right reporter for the job. Political correctness ruled over her safety. It’s like not wading through the shark tank with a bleeding wound.
Again, I am not blaming her but her bosses who put her in this predicament.
We will see her demeanor towards tolerance and appeasement towards savages if she returns to the air.
Prayers for this reporter and her family.
I thought these were freedom fighters, just looking for jobs and to create a Democracy?
Savages. Of course, we were called racists for that description. At least we can count one convert back to reality. Unfortunately, she had to be gang-sodomized to figure it out.
Thanks Obama
Muslim Third world civil disorder... lets send a girl!!
Great thinking.
Chalk it up to diversity I guess
“Democracy in action...”/s
Lol - post of the day.
Looks like she was on the wrong side of history.
I have a feeling that, like an anti-gun person who has a .44 shoved in their face, she’ll see this for what it is.
“Again, I am not blaming her but her bosses who put her in this predicament”
If your boss told you to wade through a shark tank while bleeding would you do it?
She made a poor decision as did all of those around her. She did it for the story though.
I’m glad she made it out alive and hopefully she recovers. I’m sure it had to be terrifying.
I am sorry as well. I pray that God hold her in the palm of His hand and protect her.
I hope she sues CBS for a gazillion dollars.
But the Media, in unison, kept telling us this was a protest without violence.
The naive in the big wide world. But aren’t these savages noble? All they want is Democracy and an opportunity to shop at Wal-Mart.
No, not only under Sharia. This is true in ANY Islamic country. As was explained to us students by an expert (and Muslim woman), especially us girls, before we landed in Egypt, a woman on the street is either PUBLIC or PRIVATE, in the eyes of Muslim men.
To be a PRIVATE woman, you need to be in a group, or accompanied by a man. You need to be appropriately modestly dressed. And even then, when they can SEE you are a foreigner, it still might not pass muster unless you have a man with you.
To be considered a PUBLIC woman is, as we were told, like being considered a prostitute. Men feel they have EVERY RIGHT to touch or molest you on the street. This is what happened to us in Egypt - we were young and American looking, even though we were dressed modestly, and men did try to grab us all the time. We fared better in the company of male students. Although one male buddy of mine was offered many camels for me and I am just glad he didn't take the offer.
This girl is very attractive. What they were thinking, I'll never know.
This lady is not know for her common sense.
If you recall, the NY Post credited Freepers for breaking the “NEWS BABE’S ‘IRAQI TRYST’ IN-BEDDED REPORTER ‘TOOK MY HUBBY’” story
Where Lara Logan was having two lovers in Bagdad and broke up someone’s marriage.

Lawyers should be DROOLING at the chance.
To the person who said it's still her fault for taking the assignment: I don't know how bright she is. They would have had to explain the risks to her. If she did agree to be an Amanpour, then she does take the blame. But if she was merely sent into the shark's mouth, they must take the fault.
Damn it, where was kati?
Since she lived, CBS will be protected by workers’ comp. She’ll get actual medicals and a pittance.
Just another bunch of peace loving Muslims doing what they do best..when will the media WAKE UP about these people already! Prayers for Lara Logan during this difficult time. She went through hell just trying to do her job
Couric was standing there naked, jumping up and down, but the crowd ignored her, just like Neilson viewers.
Well then I guess there’s one divorcee somewhere enjoying this news.
I doubt even a scorned ex-wife would wish this on someone.
Well, according to Whoppi, rape of young girls by movie producers, etc... is kind of like a known inconvenience and not really “rape, rape!”
So, I figure she thinks that a news reporter being raped during a riot for democracy would not be “rape, rape” as you have to figure this could happen as a part of your job.
I feel sorry for this woman, but she decided to put her career above her own safety. Again, I am sorry it happened, and I hope her attackers have a very painful memory of this as they ROT in HELL!
Yeah, I know what you mean.
I accidentally channel surfed through Jerry Rivers showing how they were cleaning Graffiti.
How could these Peaceful Protesters do this?
Given that she was attacked by muslims, it can be assumed that she was SODOMIZED as well. It is their modus operandi to send a message to the infidel.
Laura wasn’t the only one. I believe CNN had people assaulted. Plus, FOX’s Greg Palcot and Oleg Wiig barely escaped with their lives. There were 300 killed. But according to the news the protests were spontaneous and peaceful.
Is this why Christian Omanpour (sp) worked so successfully in the Arab world for so long?
Isn't that what we here call gang rape?
A beautiful blond girl at that.
How many camels?............
“Is this why Christian Omanpour (sp) worked so successfully in the Arab world for so long?”
No, that’s because she was an agent for Islamist governments, and they provided her protection.
What a way to celebrate!
Rioting muslims find mustaches a real turnoff.
We've all seen the coverage. Would YOU have gone or told them to shove it up their hiney?
Especially with the young boys that their prophet was so fond of.
