Is Palin just a politician, after all?
WND ^ | 2/16/11 | Linda harvey

Sarah Palin told reporters that she would have no problem with the porn lobby being cosponsors and holding respected seats at the table at last week's CPAC meeting. Nor does she have a problem with Planned Parenthood. After all, these are "different, diverse groups involved in political discourse" – so why not allow them all to crowd in under the "conservative" umbrella?

Actually, she didn't say these things, but instead told Fox News "gay" groups had a right to be at CPAC. But, why not these others as well? Don't they fit her broad qualifications, as stated above? Why not allow anyone or any group, truly, as long as they decide to label themselves "conservative"? Who cares if Rachel Maddow shows up, saying she's a conservative? Hail to "conservatives" Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Al Sharpton! Why not?

Isn't dialogue important?

Actually, no. When a group espouses a certain set of standards, there ought to be some "truth-in-labeling" involved. Are pro-lifers at NOW meetings? No, and for good reason. It's called integrity. Their presence would signal an endorsement of abortion. Attendance says, "I will listen to these people." But there are some points that are not open for discussion, not for people with strong convictions.

Discover what military personnel and decorated vets think of ending DADT in Whistleblower magazine's dramatic February issue, "DROPPING THE H-BOMB"

Why would any Christian conservative listen to guys who have sex with each other and are working diligently to silence those who tell them this might not be a great idea? With traditional conservatives, the GOProud homosexual group has zero credibility, yet Sarah has just given them quite a bit. She has made a big mistake, if she believes there's a legitimate "debate" that we can hold with sodomy advocates.

But a situation is developing where gays get more and more credence. Not good, because they aim to destroy the traditional institution of marriage, and the Republican Establishment is going along. That’s because this “persecuted”minority has a tone of money behind them. Palin will have to thread a needle on this issue. For the gays, tolerance is no longer enough. They demand affirmation.

Query, pissant. IF she wins the nomination, will YOU vote for her?

She said they have a right to talk. She didn’t say she agreed with them. Even Biden has a right to talk. Would you agree with HIM?

Naw, CPAC was a rigged vote for Ron Paul and Romney.

The American Spectator poll was fair enough, even though the AS pundits hate Palin about as much as you do. Their pundits haven't yet figured out how to spin their own poll results.

Would you let him co-sponsor CPAC and have a prominent seat at the table?

Funny how Paul won every online poll last time with his fanclub’s swarming. Paultards and Palintards have much in common.

No, but I didn’t vote for Mccain and don’t regret it for one nanosecond.

I posted earlier that any org or function involving grover norquist already has one strike against it. Add goproud and that is two strikes. Add ron paul and his merry band of neonazi schmucktards, and cpac is out. So why not biden since cpac has become a garbage dump for trash anyway?

SARAH did not go either this year or last. Period. You seem to overlook that salient point.

What’s past is prologue, pissant. The country’s future is at stake. I can forgive you for not voting for mccain. He is p’bama in whiteface. Sarah is no mccain.

Obama appreciated your vote (and probably McCain's also).

Well, I’d expect her to veer right for a primary (which she is doing like everyone else). If she wins that, we’ll see what she does for the General election.

If you think I voted for Obama, you aren’t as bright as you sound. And that bar is already pretty low.

Didn’t Palin back McCain all the way? Someone who I cannot stand?

McCain has practically written the book on Rinoism. What does Palin, or any true conservative have in common with McCain? Why would she throw her support to him, let alone run on the same ticket? The old adage “politics makes strange bedfellows” doesn’t quite cut it with so much at stake.

She has never answered this question good enough for me, nor has any one of her supporters on this forum been able to tell me why she would want to back such an enemy of conservatism as John McCain.

Heck, she probably even thinks Bill O’Reilly is a conservative.

So, all of you Palin supporters that want to have a go at it, by all means try to convince me that she’s really a solid conservative. I would love to think she’s the right person for the job. I find myself trying to convince myself of it but it isn’t working.

I’ve done my own research. The more I’ve dug, the less there is to like.

Fortunately, my "brightness" is not dependent on your shallow, narrow-minded, myopic, PDS obsessed opinion.

Whatever your personal excuses for your PDS, there are much more serious issues at stake for the USA than your self-centered obsession.

Most of Gov. Palin's support comes from people who are paying attention to the issues, both national and international, and not from some cult of personality, as you pretend. None of the other leading potential candidates seem to have a clue, and you appear to share that cluelessness.

Uh, it's a primary, actually pre-primary. And as always, the fanclubs of the particular candidates will act as if everyone else in the field is a moron while their fave is the cat's meow (and in Palin's case a lovable combination of Reagan/Thatcher/Patton/Joan of Arc/Machiavelli/Jefferson). She's thinking of running, then she's fair game to scrutinize.
