I want to franchise treadmill powered home generators nationwide.
I thought “cross hairs” was now restricted rhetoric. Where is that AZ sheriff when we need him?
Oregon Public Broadcasting? Do they somehow do “broadcasting” without using electricity? I’m missing something I’m sure.
It would be interesting to know where the hell they think that lost capacity will come from. Certainly not dams since they have long been on a campaign to get rid of them. Pretty soon we’ll not only have to build a mexican border fence but also fences around states like Oregon, California and cities like Detroit to keep the third world democrats from polluting the rest of the country.
I’ve wanted to hook all the exercise equipment in
all the gyms in America up to the grid for a long
time, look at that wasted energy.
Soon, Oregon voters will be demanding power from other states to keep them from freezing and expensive utility bills.

Hopefully from nowhere.
No utility in the business, should sell the state power at any price. They can be self sufficient or freeze in hell, an oxymoron of the first order, not unlike killing a power plant you might need.
PS I didn’t bother reading the article because I’m rushing to get out the door for work, so if I missed anything just ping me to the important stuff, and thanks in advance. Not you Oregon.
That would be a great idea for a Health Club to line up the equipment to a generator and offer a discount for electricity created.

Yes, you are. They plan to use their electric cars to power the station...

The entire eastern side of Oregon is prime farm land ... or soon to be prime windmill and solar fsrm land... no one needs that stinking wheat, their groceries stores have planty already.

Plus, a condensation station could make lots of fresh drinking water...
At least charge up your cell phone while you jog...
C`mon you guys , where are we gonna plug in these 1 million electric cars the President speaks of ?
At what point does the public push back?
We are taking more generation out of service than we are placing into service.....
.....At the same time, the POTUS is pushing electric cars while making petroleum too expensive.
As with all systems, something has to give in the energy equation for it to balance out. I don't think too many people are going to accept living like peasants in the 17th century.
We will see a new meaning for the phrase "Blood for Oil" in the not too distant future IMHO. And I don't mean war in the middle east. There will be riots over energy. Coal and oil will be back in favor when this is all said and done. Nuclear too, but it will take longer to increase capacity.
If the damn American and Liberty hating leftist enviro wackos would get out of the way, we could ramp up the Nuclear power in a year.
We had 110 units (each power reactor at each facility) up until 40 years ago, then the enviro wacko traitorous leftist communist democrats used the court systems and the epa to stop power production.
They need to be shot, and we need to start building power.
We could build safe power plants from scratch to finish within a year, if the Unions, Courts and other leftists could be put into their place. We probably could actually do it quicker, but we need to realize the national emergency.
Have you not read Atlas Shrugged? When the shortages begin to hit, the government will start a propaganda campaign against the greedy industrialists who are hoarding all the electricity. Rationing will begin, and the capitalists will be denied the opportunity to (legally) purchase power to keep their businesses up and running.
