If there was ever a time when truth should not be used “sparingly,” it is on the ugly realities of public education in the United States.
First you dig your foxhole, THEN you engage the enemy.
The truth is not a shield invulnerable from the consequences brought on by those who do not want to hear it, or for others to hear it.
Having the right of way is one thing, jumping out of the way of the car is another.
Stand upon your right and the truth at your own peril is what I am saying. Pick your battles and defend defensible positions.
