“[60 Minutes] correspondent Lara Logan was repeatedly sexually assaulted by thugs yelling, ‘Jew! Jew!’ as she covered the chaotic fall of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in Cairo’s main square Friday.”
Powerful reporting on an important story. Two problems: It didn’t run until yesterday, and CBS didn’t run it. The quote is from the New York Post. And it was The Wall Street Journal that reported “the separation and assault lasted roughly 20 to 30 minutes.”
But CBS? They sat on their own story. For five days, as reporters reveled amid giddy celebrations in Tahrir Square, and as President Obama praised President Obama’s handling of the Egyptian crisis, CBS reported nothing.
Only when other media had the story did CBS break the news that its own chief foreign correspondent was the victim of “a brutal and sustained sexual assault.”
Five days of silence — not even “60 Minutes” coverage of the Egypt story. No mention of the “mob of more than 200 people whipped into frenzy” who attacked their own reporter.
How is that not news?

Having 200 “good guys” gang assault a female reporter while screaming “Jew! Jew!” doesn’t fit the narrative. Is that why CBS sat on the story?
Or is it the cultural issue? A rape in a bar is a sex crime. But a pack of political protesters who rape a “Jew” in public is a story about culture.

You are right! Anderson Cooper gets smacked in the head 10 times and it runs for days. Lara Logan gets raped — I suspect — and NOTHING is said. Misogyny, PC run amok. Glad to hear a liberal reporter mention it in disgust. May it be the ‘mugging’ that turns more libs to Reality.
That's not physically possible, at least without some equalizer like a handgun. Women are overall less physically strong than men. Lara was probably physically overpowered by just one of these men, let alone 200. Oh, how I would have liked to see her with a semi-auto pistol with a "high-capacity clip" in that scene and the will to use it. Take that, gun controllers. Achmed head pieces all over Tahiri square.

This is from the NYpost.com and it gives and idea of how serious the rape and attack was:

“She has no idea how long this is going to take,” a source said.
A CBS colleague told The Post, “Every day is a struggle [for her].”
With that crowd a major disinfecting regime with antibiotics iv'd with a firehouse is called for.
This should have never happened anyway..My question is why didn't someone there put a stop to it?It makes all Muslims there look filthy..I am almost sure it was the Muslim Brotherhood that did this..They knew their friend Obama would not do a thing or say a thing about it..God help us..All I know is if these savages ever came on my property they would not be walking away..I have plenty room to bury the half wits..Don't think this isn't where Obama is going he will try and make this nation all Muslim..

In the crush of the mob, she was separated from her crew. She was surrounded and suffered a brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating before being saved by a group of women and an estimated 20 Egyptian soldiers.
islam sucks. It is a silly socio-economic construct. No beer, no gambling, no gold, no this, no that. It is not fun and on top of that unless you get a good spot on the front row you end up having to sniff man ass while “praying” out in to space.
With that said there is something that just does not feel right about this story. Why no video of her being pulled away from her camera crew? Why no video of her from people that were in the crowd and had cell phone. Someone had to take video or photos of this event. Because they were apalled at what was supposed to have happened or because she is a kafir and it is fun to rape, murder or tax the kafir. The muzzies love to show themselves cutting people’s heads off so why not show a bunch of them doing whatever they did to this blonde infidel?
Some say CBS has kept this story buried because it does not fit the liberal agenda. Or because of the reporters “privacy”. Maybe this is true, maybe not. Either way something just does not feel right about the story.
You are assuming that only one groped at a time. If ten groped at a time, they had 90 seconds each.
Cut him some slack......every time a good crisis comes along for Obama to take advantage of, G-d throws him a curve ball. The AZ shooter wasn't a conservative, the muzzies keep showing their true colors. Brother can't catch a break. /s

She reconnected with the CBS team, returned to her hotel and returned to the United States on the first flight the next morning. She is currently in the hospital recovering
My prayers go out to this woman and I hope she some day recovers from this awful abuse..Also hope God makes sure these animals are punished..
I would think that Lara Logan would disclaim the story if it were not true.
what doesn’t feel right about the story, is that it’s not a story effing anywhere !!! except here, Drudge and 1 or 2 print media sources..
it’s a disgrace... a h*ll is going to break loose on this one... mark my words... something was said at the top, in the White House, about keeping this under wraps.. that will come out. not sure when, but it will.
