Urging conservatives to focus on "real issues," Karl Rove said Republicans should speak out against those in the party who question whether President Obama is a citizen of the United States.
The GOP strategist said whatever percentage of Republicans are so-called "birthers," it "ought to be less."
He made the comments in an interview with Bill O'Reilly on Fox News, where Rove is a regular commentator. "Within our party, we've got to be very careful about allowing these people who are the birthers and the 9/11-deniers to get too high a profile and say too much without setting the record straight," Rove said.
Birthers believe Obama is not native-born and therefore is ineligible to be president. Hawaii officials have repeatedly issued statements that Obama was born in the state and that the health department holds a copy of his original birth certificate. A copy of the document has been made available on the Internet.

I don’t think anyone should take Karl Rove seriously anymore, and I’m not talking about this issue.
I sat through BOR and Rove last night and somehow didn’t put my foot through the TV! I don’t know when I’ve been more angry at two people who, I am sure know that they are not speaking the truth!
So political “genius” Karl Rove plays into the Dem and MSM playbook by suggesting that the national Republican Party is making Obama’s place of birth an issue. It isn’t but the Dems sure are trying to suggest that they are. Now “Master Political Strategist” Rove has helped them in their campaign.
And you had the pleasure of paying for it.

If Barak Sr. is truly the babydaddy, then it doesn’t matter where Barry was born - he ain’t eligible.

Could you please enlighten all of us who think that a Natural Born Citizen means you are the product of an American Citizen father, and an American Citizen Mother (having been of age for the required period of time)?

I began thinking that Karl Rove was a jerk some time ago, when he worked so hard to back such wonderful candidates as Arnold Schwarzenneger, Lincoln Chaffee, and Arnold Specter in the primaries.

Barack Obama’s father was not a U.S. citizen is a fact. At the time of Barack’s birth, his father was a British subject in the British colony of Kenya and that British citizenship was Obama’s until at least the age of 21. At the age of 21, Obama likely held both Indonesian (as he had been legally adopted by his Indonesian step-father Lolo Soetoro) and British citizenship. Twice in Indonesian primary school records (1967-71) Barack is listed as an Indonesian citizen.
Obama’s mother was only 18 when Obama was born. This means even though she had been a U.S. Citizen for 10 years, his mother fails the test for at-least-5-years-prior-to Barack Obama’s birth, but-after-age-14. In essence, his Mother as the sole U.S. parent is not old enough to qualify her son for automatic U.S. Citizenship.
At most, 2 years elapsed from his mother turning 16 to the time of Barack Obama’s birth when she was 18. His mother would have needed to have been 14 + 5 = 19 years old at the time of Barack Obama’s birth for him to be a natural-born citizen. Obama had to be naturalized to become a U.S. citizen and that disqualifies him from holding the office of POTUS or Vice POTUS. The Constitution clearly declares: Naturalized citizens are ineligible to hold the office of President or Vice President. Barack Hussein Obama II is now an American citizen by his marriage to Michelle Robinson.
