MADISON, WIS. - President Obama thrust himself and his political operation this week into Wisconsin's broiling budget battle, mobilizing opposition Thursday to a Republican bill that would curb public-worker benefits and planning similar protests in other state capitals. Obama accused Scott Walker, the state's new Republican governor, of unleashing an "assault" on unions in pushing emergency legislation that would change future collective-bargaining agreements that affect most public employees, including teachers.
The president's political machine worked in close coordination Thursday with state and national union officials to get thousands of protesters to gather in Madison and to plan similar demonstrations in other state capitals.

You can’t spend what you don’t have. Why is that so hard for even dimwits to understand? I’ve got an idea. Pass a law that will give these demonstrators everything they want and then tax JUST THEM for what it costs and leave the rest of the citizenry alone.

The Cloward-Piven Plan counts on there being a ready force of welfare recipients who can protest at the drop of a hat because they aren’t tied down by jobs. As I understand it, the counter-protests will be on Saturday, which is when people who have jobs can be there.
Unlike teachers who can take their whole class off to a field trip in support of the mob, most people can’t just take their office with them to protest. If they tried they would probably be fired. One more illustration of why these people are NOT asking for “equal rights”. They are asking to have rights that are more “equal” than everybody else’s.
Can a state say they will only hire non-union employees?
Calling this anti-union is just silly. He hasn’t fired anyone. He’s asking for a higher level of employee participation in paying for their health insurance and retirement.
The state is upside down with spending, and cuts need to be made. Why should the public sector union members be free from any impact from Obama’s failed policies? Why should they be free from any negative impact from the parasitic agreements that are eating up the state’s funds?
Union members are a real hoot. They expect to be free from any negative economic downturns no matter what.
Life doesn’t work that way children... “it isn’t fair” is something most of us have dealt with by the time we’re 21.
I was thinking the same thing! Why, just a few weeks ago, the Messiah was here in Tucson, preaching about “vitriol” and hate speech..... Guess that’s all forgotten now.

I figure it all has to do with the tens of millions of dollars that he will now get in kickbacks from those same unions during his re-election campaign.
We aren’t even a federal republic any more. Obama wants to be a dictator. Why do we even have that old sheepskin parchment called the Constitution in DC under glass and lasers? It says that all powers not described within are to be left to the states!!! Our government employees (EMPLOYEES OF US!!) “swear” to uphold that silly old parchment! Yet THIS crap occurs.

Yes. We now have,and not just in WI, the public sector vs. the private sector. Why would we in the private sector, who get NO BENEFITS, want to pay for these public sector workers to receive over a million dollars in retirement, when we are wanting to use that money for our OWN retirement??
The street punk in the WH is having an adolescent temper tantrum because the Gov of Wisc is actually displaying some Adult Supervision so the whole damn state doesn’t go Bankrupt!
Of course he would object, just a 16 year old teenager would when their parent force them to get a job instead of laying around the house all day surfing the Net, watching TV, or playing Video Games.
