I don't believe Obama is a Muslim
2/18/2011 | Self

Posted on 02/18/2011 10:08:15 AM PST by TheThinker

I used to believe Obama was a Muslim. I also believed he overtly meant America harm as well as the Israelis. I didn't believe these things for bigoted reasons. I just worry about the safety of my country which ensures the safety of people of all races and ensures any hope for peace for future generations.

The real problem is that Obama offers little in area of transparency. However, to be intellectually honest, I don't have a shred of proof that Obama is currently a practicing Muslim and I don't wish to spread that idea. I don't have any proof that he deliberately wants to harm the United States either. It's just frusrating to see America is such a terrible state, saddled with a leader unwilling to listen and truly engage his countrymen, while the boat we are sitting in takes in more water and there are people scooping water into the boat.

I do know for sure that I don't wish any harm to be done to Obama and with the Gabriel Giffords shooting, Democrats are rightly worried that the charged political speech might possibly encourage more violence. Granted, I think shootings from the right side of the spectrum are not likely but that doesn't mean others won't be inspired. When she gets back on her feet, she'll have a lot to say about the subject so I think it's time to tone it down, to self-regulate what we say.

Sarah Palin is right when she says that the Muslim issue is annoying and distracting. One thing that is important to America's safety is unity. Unity is important as long as it is based on the idea to promote the freedom and advancement of the individual rather than increasing the power of the federal government over the individual. The type of unity we need seems nowhere in sight.

Americans simply aren't on the same page because too many Americans don't have even a basic grasp of our history and the true moral worth of their country, which compared to other countries is exceptional. What too many forget is that America has had greater challenges than other countries in trying to reconcile its ideals with its actions.

Although I don't believe Obama's policies are intentionally destructive, I do believe they are reckless and destructive nonetheless. But Obama really doesn't diverge that much from other liberal politicians on the issues. We have been on the same path for some time and that path is going downhill. We have to reverse ourselves on spending. There's only so much wealth created and to allow government to regulate that wealth is a recipe for disaster. We have to work to regain our sovereignty. It's back to basics.

The political atmosphere is reaching a fever pitch in my opinion. If some crazy decides try to harm the president, there will be an upheaval in this country. We don't need it. I say we should go after Obama's policies with all the energy used to attack him personally, because I think Obama's safety and America's safety are intertwined.

His personal religious beliefs are of no political consequence.

However, since Islam has a political as well as a religious side, if he consistently votes for the Islamic position, then he is politically a Muslim.

He may not be a practicing religions Muslim. But he’s definitely a cultural Muslim. That’s why one of his mentors, the doddering old fool Jimmy Carter, isn’t lying in his mind when he speaks of the Muslim Brotherhood as a secular organization. In his demented mind, the secular and religious practices of Islam are separate. We mere Americans are just too dense to understand the subtle differences.

He’s an atheistic Secular Humanist with a burning antipathy toward traditional Christianity and a deep, pervasive and profound cultural and emotional love for and identity with Islam. More than anything, though, he’s a Malignant Narcissist who embraces Marxism, anti-Colonialism and a deeply ingrained and blindly bigoted dislike of white people in general.

Democrats are rightly worried that the charged political speech might possibly encourage more violence.

Get your head outta the sand and unplug your ears. Just exactly who do you think it is "charging" the speech and inciting and acting with violence? Don't fall for the "both sides need to slow down" myth the Left tries to drum up whenever they find themselves losing public support.

“Democrats are rightly worried that the charged political speech might possibly encourage more violence.”

Really? Then why do they keep up with their own highly charged brand of vicious personal attacks, even to the point of making physical threats or allusions to them, against conservatives? The Tea Party?

Disingenuous doesn't even begin to describe this argument.

As far as him being Muslim or not, it's Obama’s liberal policies that are bankrupting this country. And it's his policies, not him personally, that conservatives want to be rid of.

Is it me or does it seem like you are trying to inflame the very situation you claim to be so concerned about?

I think he is too narcissistic to be a serious practicioner of any faith. But read Dinesh DeSouza's "The Roots of Obama's Rage." Whatever else he may be, Obama is an anti-colonialist and believes that the US is imperialistic and colonialist and is the primary force of evil in the world.

Does he deliberately want to harm the United States? Probably not in the way that one might think. He believes that his efforts to undermine the US will eventually bring freedom to everyone around the world and eventually even to the United States. The fact that we disagree with his efforts is merely indicative, in his mind, that we are not as smart as he is. But he has come to enlighten us and usher in the new age where people of all colors, political stripes, religions, and ethnicities will be able to live in peace.

So Muslim? Who knows? Arrogant, delusional, megalomanic? Without a doubt.

What's never mentioned is that Obama was a practicing Muslim during his boyhood in Indonesia. That means answering the call to prayer, the prayer rug, facing and bowing to Mecca six times a day, the whole works.

He may not be doing that now, because it interfered with his political ambitions. But he identifies and sympathizes with that life far more than he does the life and beliefs of an patriotic American.

I don't believe he is a Muslim either but I do think O adheres to liberation theology of the sort spouted by his former minister, J Wright. This would have him sympathetic to Islam and explain his wife's famous statement that she was proud of her country for the first time during his campaign. It would also explain his reflexive anti America stance on many foreign policy issues and Marxist domestic policies.

I also don't think assassination or political violence has any place here. The Democrat's union thugs and the NBPP can drop their violent tactics as well.

Who cares whether anyone can or cannot prove his motives. While people debate that issue they are missing the fact that he has done more to destroy our economy and our country than any other influence, both foreign and domestic.

Watch what his unions are up to now. It is only just beginning. If they don’t destroy our country the Fed and Geithner will.

Although I have referred to zero as a muslim, he can’t be because he is a Marxist. The communists have been using Islam though for a century, to destroy religion, particularly the two that create strong independent nations— ...Judaism and Christianity.

They stand in the way of a one world government because they teach independence, individualism and responsibility, and dignity and worth to every individual.

That type of thinking has to be eradicated from the minds of the people...that is why the onslaught in schools to destroy Christian ethic by promotion and glorification of every aberrant behavior, sexualizing children through “sex education” to destroy intellectual pursuit, and banning God from the public square.

The McGuffey readers...before Dewey....was filled with God and Lord and Christian principles. The socialists removed it to create their Marxist totalitarian Skinnerian state. Groupthink is what schools put out and immoral, mob-like, because they are so devoid of knowledge and wisdom from all the cognitive dissonance that is put into children intentionally.

They will not be able to be logical and will fall for all the Big Lies as we have seen in the vote for the liar in chief, especially by the “educated” younger generation—the totally brainwashed-into-moral-relativism one.

There is no Objective Truth with Marxists. They are extremely evil. Read Witness by Whittaker Chambers to understand the insidious evil of those who try to make slaves of all men. That is their objective—to control everything—even your thoughts.

Then you aren't thinking. His mentor as a teen and a young man was the commie Frank Marshall Davis. He was a socialist/commie sympathizer in college. People that knew him then have spoken out and said so. Every speech that he gives in foreign countries denigrates America and what she stands for. He plays the race card every chance that he gets.

He hates America and Americans.

With the same amount of proof (none), my opinion is...He is personally agnostic, but is embracing Christianity for political and/or family reasons.

I also believe he is his mother's son. She was emotionally aloof and had a “borderless” national identity. And he admired her. He isn't attached to any national culture and therefore can only relate to Americans as a theoretical intellectual abstract exercise.

I agree with you.

Obama went to Rev. Wright’s America hating black nationalist church for 20 years, which, in my opinion, actually makes him worst than a Muslim.

Obama wasn’t in a mosque kneeling and bowing for Allah; he was God damning America in “church” with Rev. Wright.

Lastly, what makes Obama so despicable is not his religion, but his ideological allegiance with Marxism-Leninism and his hatred for the United States and everything it stands for.

Barack Obama has more allegiance to illegals from Mexico than he does to Islam, which makes him a traitorous liberal, not a Muslim.

Even now apparently there are signs being held up in Wisconsin with the governor in cross hairs. The Left attacks moral God-fearing people with their own sense of rightness, just like an atheist who attacks a Christian and then says "What? Why do you not turn the other cheek! I'm supposed to learn how to be a Christian from your behavior. You're not acting like a Christian!"

The whole idea is to get you off balance why they carry on as usual with their evil tactics

Oh, I so agree! (Heavy sarcasm here)

After all, the conservative candidates have been ignoring the elephant I've spoken of since Obama was sworn into office. And look at how well that's worked out. And although the Repubs did OK in the mid-terms, it looks clear that Obama will waltz into a second term as Palin et al keep their mouths shut.

And you know why the Repubs did OK in the midterms? Because of Tea Party birthers. So unless and until Palin, Bachmann, Boehner, and others address the birther issue - Obama is a lock in 2012.
