EDITORIAL: Obama’s war on democracy--President’s campaign forces seize Wisconsin statehouse
The Washington Times ^ | February 18, 2011 | Editorial

Message to Wisconsin taxpayers: President Obama and the Democratic National Committee have declared war on you. Message to other states: You’re next.

The political unrest in Wisconsin, billed as some kind of grass-roots uprising, is being organized and directed by Barack Obama‘s Organizing for America and the Democratic National Committee. This development is consistent with Mr. Obama‘s instructions for supporters to “get in the face” of those who oppose them, but in this case, they are seeking to derail a lawful legislative process.

On Thursday, 14 Democratic state lawmakers fled Wisconsin’s capital to prevent the legislature from conducting official business. Dan Grandone, state director for the president’s campaign apparatus, accused Gov. Scott Walker of “ignoring Wisconsin voices today and asking for the power to drown them out permanently tomorrow.” It is important to note that the voices of which Mr. Grandone speaks are not those of the public at large. Voters sent an unmistakable message in November by taking solid majorities in the state Assembly and Senate away from Democrats and handing even greater control to Republicans. Mr. Walker, a Republican, won by six points over the incumbent Democrat.

That the protesters speak in a different voice can be seen in the signs they carry. Many compare Mr. Walker to Hitler, Mussolini or Hosni Mubarak. One placard had the slogan “Repeal Walker” with the governor’s head in sniperscope cross hairs. This is the symbolism that Democrats recently denounced as “hate-filled rhetoric,” and it is far from the voice of the public. It is rather the voice of an entitled class that seeks by any means to stop its free ride from coming to an end.

Yup! Some of us really tried hard. And most of us was willing to accept McCain over the lying con jackass Obama. We tried to convince some of the hard heads that it was better to accept the lesser of the two evils than lose America.

WASHINGTON (CNN) - You can't call John McCain a sore loser. Seven months after Barack Obama defeated him in the U.S. presidential election, the Republican senator from Arizona said Sunday he thinks his former Senate colleague is making things happen in the White House. "I think he's done well," McCain said on the CBS program "Face the Nation."

You miss the fact that electing McCain would be losing America, and we would be holding the reigns. If McCain was infesting the White House the leftward slide of America would have continued and you can rest assured that there would be no hope of a Republican Senate or House in 2012, let alone another 4 years.

Re: “And what is our side doing about it? It appears to be nothing. Where are our reps backing this governor?”

***************

Get in tune with Fox sites — we are not ‘doing nothing.’
Make sure you take a look at all the right-minded sites on Facebook — Americans for Prosperity plans a massive counter-protest, pro Gov. Walker, gathering in Madison, WI tomorrow, Sat., at Noon. Numerous ‘R’ governors from other states are standing strong with Wisconsin’s governor.

There is so much on Facebook — people like us are making connections like crazy and comments are instantaneous —

FR is great as always, but be sure to check these other avenues as well.

Barack Hussein Obama is paranoid, vengeful, and obsessed with political enemies everywhere.

Normal Americans are fed up with government and their employee unions.

In 2012 the homoerotic rat party will look back on 2010 as a good year.

First, it was the Justice Department against the State of Arizona. Now, it is the Administration against the elected officials of Wisconsin. As the taxpaying citizens of each state, through their elected state officials, take on the Administration's policies and union influences, the states will become the target of the national government.

That is not the Constitutional role of the federal government.

"Governor Walker should sue Obama in federal court on the grounds that his supporting the storming of the Wisconsin capitol and AWOL Democrats is unconstitutional". I think what the Governor should do is call a spade a spade. He should come out and simply tell the truth about obama, that he is doing what obama's training tells him to do, as a community organizer is trained to do. I liked how Walker held up-this might be the good start to muzzle this community organizer.

Free trade does NOT mean: a slim majority of people can muscle their way into your work place, industry or business, and take away your individual rights to compete independently, form voluntary contracts, and interact with consumers and investors freely, as a worker, vendor, or service provider.

Unions, “organized labor” are protectionst rackets which control supply, fix price, and block entry by more able workers. Their sole purpose is to BLOCK entry, use inefficient seniority rules to promote and overpay mediocre staff, and to funnel a % of mandated dues skimmed off the unsuspecting and unwilling, to the DNC as steady ‘rat rents.

In the public sector, this means taxpayers in general are FORCED to pay taxes a chunck of which become union dues handed to Democrats.

UNIONS are not “protectors of democracy and freedom” - they are supporters of majoritarian tyranny various sectors of a free economy - a slim majority of socialist (compulsory union) people (’organizers’) act to suppress the free trade rights of others in what are ideally decentralized free markets.

They are too cowardly to simply QUIT a job - en mass - if they don’t like the pay & work tasks - and take their little group of disgruntled ‘activists’ off to another job — or go open their own “socially just” firm, and compete with the one they just quit.

No, they turn over the card table, if they don’t like free trade, and impose tyranny on the entire sector.

This hurts more able entrants (competitors), hurts consumers with high costs and stagnant service, and hurts investors (retired people, who put their savings on the line, to cut costs and finance a great product for the economy).

U N I O N S = C O W A R D S & T Y R A N T S!

Good post, that’s exactly what unions became many years ago. At one time there was a genuine need for them but that time has long since passed.

“...will make a lasting stain on the office and undermines the rule of law.”

When did Democrats ever care about the rule of law? (Not to mention stains on blue dresses.)

Just asking.

I would like to hook into what you’re saying, but I don’t do Facebook. Can you give a brief tutorial on how to connect with these organizations on Facebook?

Any help is appreciated.

Conservatives need to understand the hatred felt by the left towards them. In their minds we are the ultimate evil and they feel justified in using any tactics. They don’t respect us as legitimate voices of loyal opposition.

They imagine themselves in a fight to the death with Evil Incarnate.

If you were fighting for your life you would not be bound by any rules, least of all the US Constitution.

Never during my life would I have ever imagined a sitting president’s campaign organization undermining a state government’s affairs.

Is this sedition?

Well said, and they are fighting for their lives and know it.

When they put Obama in office they thought they’d cut a fat hog but in reality they pulled the handle for their own demise.

Both he and their radical behavior is registering with the majority of Americans, like you say, they’re not bound by any rules.

[...]At least now, the Beast is out in front for all to see, and this lazy, apathetic, dumbed-down country of ours can finally wake up to reality and be motivated to get off its ass and put things to right again.[...]

Zer0's presidency has been like being smacked upside the head with a 2x4 for a lot of people. I can only speak for myself, but I suspect I'm not alone in this. Before April '09 and attending my first tea party, I was never that politically active. Like most right thinking people I was disgusted with the way Bush and the GOP didn't close the border and spent like drunken sailors, but I figured there was nothing we could do. Since the usurper assumed office all that changed. I find myself reading up more on the founders and the constitution, attending town hall meetings and letting my reps know when they're not doing their job.

If anything I know not to buy a lot of the bilge put out by the leadership of my union.
