President Obama has been accused of having double standards after appealing for Americans to sacrifice their holidays just days before his wife and children went on a costly skiing trip.
First Lady Michelle Obama and daughters Malia and Sasha are said to be on a 'private family trip' to Colorado for Presidents' Day Weekend...
Although the Obamas will pay for a portion of the skiing trip, taxpayers will still shoulder many of the costs.
'I don't know whether to laugh or cry,' said one of the president's most outspoken critics, conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh. 'He's got the single largest deficit in the history of the country and he's trying to tell us that we really cut back here.'

When he says “We”, he’s not talking about himself and the Ruling Class. He’s talking about the little people.
No thanks. I have no interest in defending Obama, or his personal daily entertainment and/or scheduling decisions.
But, I will point out simple hypocrisy when it presents itself.

She has such a greedy face.
She reminds me of a girl I went to elementary school with who without fail took more than her share and while eating she would position her arms defensively and greedily around her food...as if to ward off anyone who might think about touching her food. There was no reason to be like this; I and others spent lots of time at her house and she had plenty to eat. She was just straight up greedy.
No, what you don't get is that I'm not a fair-weather conservative. I believe people should enjoy the fruits of their labor, without criticism based on class-warfare, even if that criticism is politically expedient. I don't like political expediency.
Obama makes more than I do. I imagine he makes more than you do. And, statistics tell me he makes more than most everyone, except for a tiny, tiny minority of super-rich.
If a president - this president or any president - says "people have to sacrifice", more power to him. In fact, I hope he says it more often and I hope he means it. And, if at the moment he utters those words, he's stepping on Marine One to take him to golf, or sailing or whatever it is a guy who makes $400K/annually likes to do to recreate, I couldn't care less. Why? Because he gets paid that much money and he should spend it anyway he damn-well wants to. That's how conservatives think.
I'm not a "class-warfairist", even if it would make me feel good to bash my political opponent.
I agree, 0dumbo should be ab le to spend HIS money howeve he chooses but not OUR money for his wife for vacations after he tells us all we should sacrifice including giving up vacations.
If she’d paid the entire trip to where ever she wishes to go the she shoudl go and enjoy. But not ONE dime of taxpayer money should go for her to go anywhere.
Dont’ ask us to forego vacations and then have a non elected POS jet off at our expense.
Now if she announces that she will pay the entire cost of the trip, ski and spa away
But Obama does this while others are doing this.
Not to mention the $250,000 junkets to Paris, or buzzing a post-911 New York in Air Force One for a photo op without notice.
The hypocrisy belongs to Obama.

She's a member of the First Family. By statutory law, she's entitled to Secret Service protection - which means travel on government aircraft, caravan by government motor vehicle etc. Are you saying, then, that this family and every family that comes after them, should have to foot the bill for their own Secret Service protection whenever they leave the confines of the White House? To me, that sounds exactly like what you're saying.
Of course, you might imagine it also sounds absurd to me.
Pettiness and hypocrisy doesn't suit conservatism, ever.
Cut Obama some slack. Destroying the economy, military, democracy, free markets, allies and a nation is hard work. He deserves some recreational time.
Liberals are all about living off other people’s money.
When the potus tells people they MUST sacrifice including giving up vacations then YES she should not spend one taxpayer dime for her pleasure.
He set the standard but clearly it doesn’t seem to apply to his own family.
If other Presidents have come out and told people they may have to sacrifice and give up their vacations then at that time I would expect none of that POTUS family to use our taxpayer money for a vacation.
0dumbo can spend his money how he wishes but he is a pos to tell us to not on on vacation and then expect us to pay for his POS wife to go.
Now if YOU have links showing any other POTUS in history has admonished the people to sacrifice and not take vacations while the first families did that would alter thinking.
But 0dumbo is such a complete hypocrit I don’t think you can find any other POTUS who has acted in the same manner about the taxpayer and vacations.
That's certainly a position you can take. Of course, right now it would be a position that is in violation of 18 USC § 3056. You'll have to change that. Good luck.
One of the nicest things here in Crawford is that since Bush left, all the moonbats have moved on. The "Crawford Peace House" went bankrupt, & since there's no gubmint housing projects in Crawford, it's back to being a nice country town.

If after the POTUS admonishes people to sacrifice and to not take vacations and the wife still wants to go on vacation then he should use his money to pay for it all INCLUDING giving us taxpayers the money paid for SS.
That is quite fair and equitiable and sends a message to the people that 0dumbo understands when he asks us all to sacrifice he includes himself and the POS wife.
