Mika Makes Excuses For Vile WI Signs—Till She Sees Them
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 02/21/2011 5:46:26 AM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

Mika Brzezinski learned a life lesson this morning: look before you leap to defend liberals . . .

At the top of Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough referenced the hateful emails he and Mika had received from the left and the similarly ugly signs held by Wisconsin union protesters. Mika reflexively defended the vileness, saying that people were "hurting and really don't feel like they're being heard."

Aww. But later, the show rolled video of some of the Wisconsin signs, including one with crosshairs on Gov. Walker, another calling him Hitler, one accusing him of rape, and of course that great old standard "death to tyrants."

To her credit, Mika, admitting she hadn't seen the signs, did change her tune. View video after the jump.

Heh. We’re still hearing about how Gov. Palin “mixed up” North and South Korea.

Can’t they just ignore this ridiculous show? How can we ignore it if it won’t go away or people won’t let it go away?

ENOUGH ALREADY!

But they all keep repeating the “union-busting” mantra, never mentioning the governor’s reasoning on the matter. They are nothing but apologists for Obama’s agenda.

Everybody seems to be focusing on Benefits and Collective bargaining rights in Wisconsin, but the dirty little secret is Government deducting Union Dues from Public Employee paychecks. Once they quit doing that, those unions will die a slow death. They call it a “Checkoff” and it is the one sacred cow that the Union always demands in negotiations

Mika forced to stop defending ugly WI union signs. Ping to Today show list.

PS: I moved to Texas from upstate NY last week. This is my first item since getting back online. Lone Star regards to my fellow FReepers.

Does this mean we can use cross-hairs in our campaign literature again?

Boy she is getting pwned a lot lately.

Getting up so early to get ready for this job, or she quit and went decaffeinated is not wearing well on her....

Here’s Rush on Government Unions

Government unions have a long-standing incestuous relationship with the Democratic Party. In return for massive campaign contributions and foot soldiers for political campaigns, elected Democrats not only reward their union benefactors with favorable contracts, they shield them from the kind of accountability that private sector employees face. That’s one reason our schools are failing. It’s why cities and states with entrenched Democratic leaders are bankrupt. It’s why governments ballooned while millions of private sector employees lost their jobs and even their homes.

well, well.

I spent November ‘09 wandering around Texas and loved every minute.

When you get a chance, go to Goliad and then to the battlefield at Houston.

You can feel the presence of those who rebelled against the tyrant and created a new Republic. Texas is a better model for the new America than the original in many ways.

“Quite a culture shock? Or not so much?”

To paraphrase James Taylor, I went to Texas in my mind some time ago ;-)

Since Imus was off today, I watched Joe again this AM and saw that exchange. Joe did stand up for the right side on this; my problem with him is that he often allows the lefties’ ridiculous statements go unchallenged. THAT’S why I find the show unwatchable...but thanks for your continued monitoring.
