The Wisconsin workers who have staged a week-long protest against their union-busting governor are getting some Big Apple reinforcements.
Teamsters Local 237, which represents various city workers, intends to bus a couple hundred members to Madison possibly this week, Deputy Director Pete Gutierrez told The Daily News.

Oh. Right. The New York taxpayers.
Well, that’s one way to boost tourism.......
Walker/Republicans need to ACT NOW!
DEFUND. FIRE AZZES. Whatever it takes.
JUST DO IT! NOW!
Need address to tell Walker...
DEFUND. FIRE AZZES. Whatever it takes.
JUST DO IT! NOW!
It’s not ASTROTURFING when Done-While-Democrat.
The Obummer Tarp Fund ans stimulus money the RATS ARE USING AS A WAR CHEST. !!! Have you forgotten?
Heh, heh. Because they're Teamsters, y'see, and when they see the sign that says Wisconsin left they'll just.....(sigh).....never mind.....
Your stimulus dollars at work.
Ahhhhh...right. The TARP slush fund. I did forget about that.
They sound like environmental criminals burning up all that diesel fuel and emitting all that CO2.
Can’t they attend the protest via Skype or GoToProtest.com
From their regular pay. Just need a doctor's note...
I wonder if deze bus drivers is card carryin’ Teamsters.
Well that’ll take care care of the homeless population of NYC for a spell. Will they pay union wages????
This is bringing in a lot of revenue and tax dollars to wis. Local restaurants, hotels etc benefitting
So this is how the White House uses its resources? Yet border crime.....crickets.
What is very obvious to me is that the Sleazy Dems left town to give the other unions time to get to Wisconsin. They say they want discussion yet they don’t bother to discuss. They just wanted to stall for reinforcements. I’m sick of minority rule and this is a prime example.
Here’s wishing them an encounter with a highwayload of roofing nails.
Birds of a feather.
Letting government employees unionize makes about as much sense as hiring Michael Moore to be night watchman at the Twinkie factory.
Start spreading the news!
They’re bringing in the big time thugs. The protests have been peaceful for the most part, they won’t be after this crowd arrives.
After 5 days of protest and sleeping in the capitol rotunda, things are getting very ripe.
I hope they send the clean up bill to the unions.
Tea party members cleaned up after themselves.
Maybe you should warn them that complaints have been filed for making a mess and sleeping overnight.
Hopefully, the Captitol Police will regain control and throw the bums out (at least at night).
BEGIN THE LAYOFFS NOW!
No compromise, no more talk, no more time.
How many teamsters does it take to change a light bulb?
TWELVE, ya gotta problem wit dat?
The GOP majority needs to start passing non-revenue bills that the RATs really don’t want. Like right to work law and voter ID. Punish them while they are gone. Plus..cancel their state credit cards and declare their state cars stolen.
I guess Mrs. Pelosi can spot astroturfing, she needs to comment on her Commie brethren.
No. Not at all. Is it okay if I just break my own kneecaps?
This crap is not right, it is a state issue..we must separate Federal from state..States have the power...keep on going or die trying, cause that’s whats coming as a broke nation..
Somehow, I don’t this will play well with your average Wisconsinite.
Well, good luck with that, as they head into the teeth of a killer storm.
We have a great plenty of rolled buses and semis here, thank you very much....
We Deliver... (whatdaya need?) Solutions.
As an average Wisconsinite I can guaranteee that it will not play well with us.
And Babs Boxer is bitc*in because a few freshman Congresscritters ar sleeping in their offices.
Oh, the hypocrisy of these people.
You have to see this.
Don’t these people ever work?
Some of these NY/NJ Union protesters are so wacky the would rather do this than go on a vacation. With the Jets losing, they are still in a bad mood.
I’ll say one thing about the Teamsters, they are more than just talk or cash suppliers. Back in the middle 1960’s I was a member of the Insurance debit salesman’s very weak union striking Metropolitan Life Insurance at Madison Square NYC. The Teamster’s, along with the Longshoremen and the Teacher’s helped us picket. Quite a culture clash.
Here comes the goon squad!
I used to be in the Teamsters and, believe it or not, that was an official unofficial position. I know because they tried to recruit me into it (because of my intimidating size in those days).
You ask what were your official duties as a permanent Teamo goon (they had temps who would get promoted to permanent goon if they were good enough)? Well, you’d hang around headquarters all day and go out and bust heads when called upon by higher-ups to do so, which I take it was fairly often. It had its dangers, but sweet gig, huh? Pay was more than a regular driver could make and all your legal expenses would be paid if you ever faced charges for anything you did in your official capacity as a member of the goon squad. I declined the offer to join.
This group headed to Wisconsin? I guarantee you, a significant number of them, if not all of them, will be members of the goon squad.
Between dese guys and da boys Bloomie flew ova dare to dat #ing Airyzona sandtrap, whosa gonna fix da broken stuff here in New Yawk... ya’ know wad I’m sayin’..
I would love for a reporter on the ground to ask some key questions:
Where is the Rathskellar? The UW Union
What are the 5 lakes of Madison? Monona, Mendota, Wingra, Kegonsa, Waubesa
What is the name of the land between the two largest ones? the isthmus
Where is the farmers market held? The square
Who was the Pail and Shovel gang? UW student govt of the 70s
This will ferret out the carpetbaggers!
Big Apple to Madison, WI, is over 900 miles, probably 20 hours. I don’t want to be anywhere near those buses!
Wow, Good test!
I couldn’t even name 5 beer breweries.
And while all the union thugs are busy in Wisconsin, about 10 other states will pass similar laws including Ohio, Indiana, and Tennessee.
It is pretty obvious that these union pukes have too much money and time on their hands. Do you think they already have their NY sick slips?
This is the point of no return. Walker knows he can not give in. He must stand firm and resolute because if the Unions get one single concession, they will pull this bullying crap in every single instance this moment forward. And it won’t be just Unions. These liberal fools are using Egypt as their inspiration to protest. Just wait and see what they do when healthcare is repealed.
NY City is a different world.
It is so quick you better be able to respond or they will burry you.
Frankly, I loved it.
