Report: NATO may attack Libya if violence continues

NATO forces may attack forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi if the Libyan air force continues to bomb anti-government protesters, the London-based al-Quds al-Arabi reported, citing a European official claiming the US had threatened to intervene in the violence.

The source said NATO and US warplanes stationed in Italy may be ordered to take down Libyan planes, and that electronic warfare against them may already have been implemented. (Roee Nahmias)

“No funding for a war, so by Democrats, it can’t happen.”

Nope, most big wars were started, escalated by Democrats.
Historically Republican presidents have ended wars.
(Clinton already had plans to go into Iraq before Bush but he got tangled up in another “bush” ;-)

Foreign policy genius before our eyes. Surely, that NATO might attack Libya comes from the ultimate brain trust consisting of (a) nobama...the great leader and most intelligent of men, (b) biden...a top foreign policy “expert” and (c) clintoon...the most intelligent woman on the planet. We are so lucky to be alive to witness this greatness. I am blinded by their brilliance throughout the world. I mean, just look how stable and peaceful the world is today. All praise the nobama.

So, will NATO be helping Al Quaeda take control of Libya instead of the a-hole they already have?

The market can handle the loss of 1 million barrels per day from Libya but Saudi Arabia with 1/5 of world’s oil? We’ll have to send in the Marines to secure the oil fields there.

If we actually had a real president instead of a community organizer whose goal in life is to secure equality for gays, we would have boots on the ground in Libya right now.
Obama is the single most incompetent and ineffective president in our history. He’s sending Hillary to Europe in a week to two to discuss what to do in Libya.
We should be in Libya grabbing Kadafi and shipping his butt off to Gitmo.
There isn’t one county on the globe who would condemn us for this act. Not even the other muslim countries.
Obama is showing the world his incompetence on a grand and glorious scale.

My view is that the West found the oil, the West uses the oil, and the Arabs simply sit and collect because they were squatting where the oil is. F**k 'em! Simply take the oil and tell them if they don't like it to go climb a rope.

That is what will happen. There might be some military involvement, but the primary weapon will be bribe money

As far as I am concerned the US should withdraw from NATO and leave Western Europe to clean up their own messes on their own dime rather than on our dime. They are the ones who import Libyan oil. The US has little to do with Libyan oil.I resent the Western European populus so critical of the US as an imperial power. Yet, they expect us to do the heavy lifting for them with our treasure.

NATO needs to reserve its forces for the Saudi revolution.

Just wait till the Chinese wake up. Now THAT will be a problem.

Do you want to see dead American soldiers dragged through the streets like in Mogadishu? By what right would we send American troops to take out the leader of another sovereign nation? I have no doubt that China has killed more of its own citizens than Libya. Why don't you go arrest Hu and drag him to Gitmo?

If Col Gadaffi survives this latest uprising, will he have done enough to be promoted to General?

You seem to forget Obama’s important role in that mess!!??

Clean your own house and do it well and quickly dude !

There is now a big mess in your country as well...Sure that you are going in the right direction under oummabama’s leadership.

If there is an intervention by NATO,i fear anyway a disaster like in Yuguslavia.

The Anti Christ rises out of the revived Roman empire.

More and more, I am believing this interpretation is wrong. The Anti Christ comes out of a Muslim nation, or should I say a revived Caliphate? Europe is not the place to look. It is the Middle East.

Think about it from Satan's perspective. What better way to mock God/Christ than to get millions to believe your Mohamed is the true prophet; not your Son. Did not Scripture again and again predict the suffering of the Messiah, just as Jesus was? Psalms 22 and Isiah 53? How can this be Mohamed? It's not! No, Islam is the Anti Christ, or the Anti Christs realm. From this blasphemousness he will come.

This has a high probability of happening IF things don't settle down soon. The reason? It is NOT because of the human toll that could be wrought, but because of the HUGE Chinese investments that are in the oil fields. China may muscle the US to take action to protect Chinese property, contracts and personnel because 1) they have no large, tangible military assets to assert and 2) they can have their investments protected and hide behind NATO if things go badly with civilian interaction.
The Chinese have use Col. Momar against the West and now, if things go badly, the Chinese will once again use the West to protect themselves AND make the West look like aggressors against muslims.
