Washington Post ^ | Feb 24, 2011 | Greg Sargent

"12:09 p.m.: Another key exchange:

FAKE KOCH: What we were thinking about the crowds was, planting some troublemakers.

WALKER: We thought about that. My only gut reaction to that would be, right now, the lawmakers I talk to have just completely had it with them. The public is not really fond of this. The teachers union did some polling and focus groups... "

Somewhere in Madison there is a former governor’s aide scanning Careerbuilder.com for his next employment opportunity.

* Walker doesn't bat an eye when Koch describes the opposition as "Democrat bastards."

LOL!!! Democrats are literally calling for bloody violence but Walker is held to task for not objecting when a faker democrat calls democrats bastards. Very balanced treatment.

Walker destroyed his own reputation here, by exposing himself as a dishonest person.

Give me a break. You dont deal much with the public do you. Sometimes people you deal with say kooky things, you sometimes have to acknowledge they said it and move on without lecturing or attacking them. That's what Walker did here.

The sign-up dates are not relevant and I didn’t call anyone a troll.

There were lots of trolls during the Clinton years, just like there have been since (and before) Obama was elected.

It's a leftist trick, in case you haven't heard......

Anyway, why is this in Breaking? The Governor’s office admitted this yesterday.

Walker was on FOX News’ Greta last night where they went over part of the transcript. Walker said he has never met either of the Koch brothers so he wouldn't recognize the voice. This is turning into a non-story.

What was exposed for sure is that Gov. Walker doesn’t even recognize the voice of one of the Koch brothers - hardly proof that they are best buds.

Other than that, he didn’t say anything on the phone call that he hasn’t more or less said in public.

[I think he meant that he thought the anti-Walker demonstrators had planted troublemakers, not that he wanted to put troublemakers there.

Note that the rest of what he says makes no sense in regards to deciding whether or not to send trouble-makers into the protests.]

Exactly my thoughts here. Even when the Alinsky smear tactics fail, the leftists still try to promote it as a success. Greta Van Susteran really ticked me off last night. She had an interview with Governor Walker and spent most of it talking about his crap. It really ticked me off, and I will probably never watch her again now!

Your doing what LIBERALS/PROGRESSIVES do.

You don’t deal with problems, in this case excess spending over many years and past Democratic administration ignoring the problem and adding to it and NOW Wisconsin is faced with a 3.6 billion dollar budget shortfall. Wisconsin requires a balanced budget.

You ignore the problem and TRY to distract on other meaningless matters.

Grow up and try to solve problems like Walker is doing.

"What about what was said was dishonest?"

The caller suggested sending in some troublemakers into the crowd. Walker said, "we thought of that" and went on to detail how it was unnecessary and would be counterproductive. He should have instantly recognized the suggestion as morally reprehensible and said so in clear and forceful language to whoever was on the phone, or anyone else, at any time and place.

Walker's reputation was that he holds and adheres to the highest moral standards. Standards that most certainly include refusing to engage in such dishonest conspiracies that amount to bearing false witness. He should have flat out rejected any such suggestion and made it clear that he would not tolerate any such dirty third world rat behavior from his ranks.

"Walker said to the fraud the same things he said in public."

Did he explain to the public before this, that he thought sending in troublemakers was unecessary, because in this instance the crowd was already unruly and doing so would be counterproductive?

"Even when the Alinsky smear tactics fail, the leftists still try to promote it as a success."

Sending in troublemakers to smear your opponent's reputation is an Alinsky tactic, along with being dishonest. Walker didn't reject the suggestion for what it is, he went on to explain how he thought it was unnecessary and would be counterproductive.

"LOL!!! Democrats are literally calling for bloody violence but Walker is held to task for not objecting when a faker democrat calls democrats bastards."

The name calling is irrelevant. You must have missed the part where Walker explained that he thought sending in troublemakers was unnecessary and would be counterproductive. That was instead of informing whoever made such a suggestion, that doing so is morally reprehesible and he would not tolerate any such deceitful actions in his camp.
