Yep.

The trunk is the national guard armory, and the back seat is the county jail, the cop’s coat pocket is the evidence room, and the citation booklet is your bill of rights. yep yep

Quit giving them ideas steely

Seriously though, when you talk to someone with cellphones, the communication signal doesnt go directly from one cell to the next. It goes through various cell towers and some hard lines are used also. This is why they consider cell phones to be wires.

“I consider modern cops to be either idiots or brownshirts. Or they just couldn’t find any other job.”

Your description is pretty much close to mine. I’ve believed that most cops were either bullied in junior high and high school or were the bullies themselves.

For the former, it’s a psychological attempt to get the power and respect they didn’t get in years past. For the latter, it’s a continued opportunity to continue acting as they did in high school.

Here's a question....

How do we know that these people are not staging these incidnets, getting a fat settlement, then paying each other off?

Think about it. You never hear the name of the civilian who files the complaint and gets paid off ever again, and the cop who does this 99% of the time keeps his job.

Who gets screwed...the taxpayer..what else is new?

When you hear hoofbeats, think "horses," not "zebras." In other words, "give me a flippin' break, man."

The last time I heard of anyone getting a settlement from police abuse of authority was in an open-carry harassment case in Virginia, and it was only $20,000, which probably didn't even cover the legal expenses.

And if you don't want taxpayers to get screwed, insure that your local police don't screw the taxpayers.

Your insult explains your arrogance and nothing else. Highlighting a sentence in an article could mean a number of things.

The only thing obvious is that you refuse to clarify your position.
