Polish-Israeli Government Meeting Angers Palestine Supporters

By Marcin Sobczyk

The Polish and Israeli governments held a top-level meeting in Jerusalem on Wednesday and Thursday to discuss issues ranging from education to military cooperation. Groups of Palestine supporters who refuse to recognize the State of Israel protest against the meeting and the choice of the venue.

Poland-based “Campaign of Solidarity with Palestine” dressed the fake palm tree standing at a busy Warsaw roundabout in a keffiyeh in protest.

“It’s a bad moment for a meeting like that,” Przemyslaw Wielgosz, the campaign’s activist, said according to daily Rzeczpospolita.

“Most importantly, the issue is that joint meetings shouldn’t take place in Jerusalem. In 1980, Jerusalem was unilaterally declared the capital of Israel by the Knesset. Embassies of most countries are in Tel Aviv because the international community hasn’t recognized this act. The Polish government, by going to Jerusalem, legitimizes the colonization of the occupied territories, including East Jerusalem.”

Poland’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement Friday all foreign officials meet the Israeli government in Jerusalem and that the authorities of the Palestinian Autonomy don’t question the practice.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said Thursday Poland fully supports Israel and will stand by it.

Ummmmmm, who gives a flying **** (flip or you fill in the spaces) what angers the Palestinians?

This is nothing but the remnants of a bunch of nomads that somehow got landlocked in one place and are pissed they have no place to park their camels! How many eons did they have to plant a keystone and never did while the rest of humanity saw the wisdom in defining its turf and defending it?

Think about it, the Egyptians kicked them out and despite all their blubbering about the Arab Street, still won’t let them back in. King Hussein finally had to kick them out of Jordan because they became a drain on his society and mainly because everyone’s buddy, Yasser Arafat and his goons, tried to assasinate him on a numbeer of occasions. The Black September Group was created because of Jordan.

So when Black September raided the Olympics in Munich as a means to air their grievances, they discoverd all of a sudden that liberals all over the world listened and whined about their despirate cause and it hasn’t stopped since.

“It’s a bad moment for a meeting like that".

For Jew-haters like Przemyslaw Wielgosz, it's always a bad moment for a meeting like that.

If Palestine supporters in Poland are dressing up fake palm trees in kefias, it’s a sure sign that the high-level meeting between Poland and Israel is a good thing. Formula: Find out what makes leftists go totally bonkers, and then do it.

Good. Move Poland’s embassy to Jerusalem. Support the “colonization of the occupied territories, including East Jerusalem” ‘til the cows come home. Only then will we have a chance at a just and lasting peace.
